My Something Borrowed - Bespoke Wedding & Event Styling

Firstly, we would like to say a huge apology to all of our followers for being so quiet across our social media accounts recently - we have just been so incredibly busy and focused on styling lots of your beautiful weddings!
Secondly - we wanted to share some images from last weekends glamorous black and gold themed wedding at Kings Croft Hotel. Complete with gold sequin table cloths, black napkins, co-ordinating bespoke backdrop and chair decor, huge floral arrangements and oodles of black and gold candles. *This* is exactly how to go bold with your colour theme!

As we have been out setting up/preparing for weddings or in consultations quite literally every day for the last couple of months, I am now playing catch up on working through photos from the weddings which we have styled. So apologies if you are awaiting seeing photos of your special day - I promise I am working through them all as fast as I can! 🙈

Something many of our customers and followers won't know about My Something Borrowed - Bespoke Wedding & Event Styling, is that we are primarily a two-woman band!
We have a full team of staff to assist with set ups, and invaluable help from our family - but all consultations, venue visits, enquiries, emails, phone calls, ordering of stock and facebook messages, are dealt with by only Angela and I!
We like things this way as it means we can ensure the quality of our service a...nd ultimately, keep control of ensuring our customers have their venues styled in exactly the way which they like and have discussed with us (not having staff who have never met them following from a clipboard).
Due to this, inevitably, during our busiest times, enquiries can take a little longer to be replied to than we would like. However, any of our customers whose weddings which we have styled will (hopefully!) be able to vouch for the fact that we put quite literally our all in to each and every wedding which we style. We therefore, simply will not break off from packing/preparing and setting up/clearing weddings to reply to enquiries - as our priority on the day of a wedding is that wedding.
Therefore could we please ask for patience when awaiting a response to an enquiry. Sending multiple messages across all of our various platforms will not receive a reply any faster - it quite honestly just confuses matters and pushes messages back up to the top as most recent.

You interpreted Jenna's vision perfectly. You helped her through many different table settings and the panic moments when she realised she didn't actually like her original vision. The room looked stunning for the ceremony and the reception. Your details on the stairs and in the bar beautiful. Your turn around between ceremony and the reception were seamless and your advise invaluable. Wow is all I can say to these two women!! I can not thank you enough for my room decor and flowers you are two very talented women! The whole of the wedding party passed comments and are still ringing us to say how beautiful it looked! If your looking for the wow factor then defiantly choose my something borrowed ����

Where do I even start reviewing these amazing ladies.

We met maybe 18 months ago if not more when their business was fairly new. I immediately liked them as people but loved that it was a family run business as I have previously had my own. We had a vision of what we wanted, of which at the time they didn’t have. Nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble. If they couldn’t find it they would make it. They never dismissed my husbands crazy out there ideas, in fact I think they loved that he was as creative as them, and that we were open to anything they suggested. Communication between us and visiting their amazing premises was always so easy.

Although I had seen many of the decorations we had chosen. Nothing prepared me for seeing it on the day. I was speechless and far too emotional to say what I actually thought. You ladies made my dreams come true. Never did I ever imagine that would be my wedding. I still don’t have the words to thank you. We truly believe you will take over the venue dressing world. We know wood hall already love working with you. We cannot recommend you or thank you enough xxx

What can i say? We hired a few decorations for our wedding at Oakwell hall... Some beautiful bunting, table runners, post box and pew ends! As well as the pop up photo frame that went down a storm with our guests! But i am so grateful to them for letting us be the first wedding to use their fab new chairs! They were exactly what we wanted! You ladies were so helpful during set up and i wont hesitate to recommend you to everyone! Thank you so much! G & L x

Well words can't actually describe just how much I think of Angela and Nicola there work is just out of this world and not only are they exstreamley talent but lovely woman inside and out. We recently got married 25/9/15 and everything was just 100% more than perfect thanks to MSB there eye for fine detail showed threw on our special day everyone commented on how amazing the venue dressing looked. I would highly recommended anyone and everyone to use these two amazing women. Got to say I am devastated our day is over and that I have no more wedding meeting with Angela and Nicola was a pleasure using you to plan our wedding guys xxx

You guys were amazing, creating the perfect rustic theme with hessian and lace detail. The room looked fantastic for the ceremony and the reception and the turnaround in between was seamless.

This company made our wedding the most memorable day of our lives thanks to their pure professionalism and attention to detail! Angela and Nicola were beyond helpful from beginning to end and saw our vision from day one. Their Aladdin’s cave (showroom in Halifax) is a total treasure trove of goodies and it was difficult to choose only a few pieces! These ladies were great with helping me arrange our wedding on 24 September 2016. We organised chair covers, sashes and lovely star-lit back-drop. The latter was very specific to our room and they were able to work with the venue to ensure everything would work with fire escapes and band set-up.



On the day the room looked fabulous and everyone said how good it looked; the back-drop truly made the room.

The Ladies created my perfect vision of my winters wonderland theme, they're both so talented.



From first meeting them, I had so many different ideas.



The Ladies were great at listening, trying to create my dream wedding day.



They're passionate, professional, I sent them countless of emails, they always responded straight away.



I can't recommend this ladies enough, every bride wants a perfect day.

Nicola and Angela styled our wedding this April at East Riddlesden Hall and they perfectly captured the rustic style I was hoping for. We received so many compliments on the day on how gorgeous everything looked and all the little details they had added. They are a fab, talented team!

I wanted a 'full look' and that's exactly what I got with the cherry and sweeping trees down my aisle and on each table for dinner. I was completely overwhelmed when it was time for me to enter. Every supplier who saw me getting ready (including the venue) had mentioned that this was the best set up they had ever seen. I got my spring wedding in October and everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and it helped that you two ladies saw my vision. So glad I didn't have to rush around setting up the room on my wedding day. Worth every penny. Thank you. Thank you. I just wish there was a 10� option because 5 stars doesn’t even come close! These two ladies were absolutely incredible from start to finish. Such perfectionist which was perfect for me as I am too, they could understand and see my vision for my wedding with me and delivered absolute perfection. So many of our guests and venue staff commented that they had never seen the room look as amazing as it did. A huge thank you, I will be eternally grateful for all your hard work.

I don't think words can describe how beautiful my venue looked at the Huntsman inn on Saturday! Both Nicola and Angela helped create my perfect wedding vision and their skill and attention to detail is surreal! Everything was done with such elegance and class and the detail was incredible right down to flower choices and the crushed velvet table cloths we chose!
