We are New Horizons, 3rd Huddersfield North Scout group. We ran our first session on 5th August 2018. Today we have 50 children who attend every Sunday for an action packed session. Every session is unique and we aim to deliver an engaging and rewarding programme.
InshaAllah (Allah willing) on Sunday 16th June 2019 we are launching our new Scout girls troop, welcoming a further 20 enthusiastic youngsters.

An overdue update on a fantastic few weeks! An amazing event at Bradley, we joined our district team for an activity packed day, great organisation and teamwork. Our scouts have been firelighting, playing in the woods, enjoying sleepovers, cooking on open fires..to name a few. Looking forward to our upcoming camp in June inshaAllah! watch this space..!

An action packed weekend at the MSF training camp. We feel blessed to be part of such a great community. A fantastic weekend, engaging, enjoyable and most of all memorable.

We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of the first Muslim scout group in Huddersfield South West,1989.
Mr Haq Arshad, alongside the late, great Rodger Williams were pioneers for Muslim scouting. We are looking forward to Mr Haqq coming out of retirement and supporting New Horizons InshaAllah. Welcome back to the scouting family! UK Muslim Scout Fellowship

A successful fun day! Thank you to all our parents and scouts who cooked and baked for us. A special thank you to Huddersfield Fire Service, Manjaros Restaurant, Anwar Hussain from Fulwood Preston Scouts group, Ebrahim, Heckmondwike Scouts.

1 day to go...! Our team at New Horizons have been incredibly busy over this half term preparing for our family fun day..We have something for everyone. There will be a separate room to sit and eat with little ones, and lots of fun activities like slime making, biscuit decorating, samosas, pink tea (yes, there is such a thing)..and so much more. Please share with everyone you know and come out to support your community. All welcome!!

Assalamalaikum! We are holding our first fundraiser, a fun day with the scouting touch. Come along to support your community, toast some marshmallows, maybe make your own badge speak to the fire fighters and have a great time! Information on volunteering and forms to register your children with our group will be available on the day. Two Sunday's at scouts and so much accomplished! Who knew you could make a catapult by learning a few knots? One of the many reasons why we love scouting. Thank you so much again to Kate Quinn and Mike Aldridge for giving up their Sunday morning for New Horizons.

Our busy beavers have been kept busy in January with their disability awareness badge. We had a visit by a guide dog and its trainer and the scouts learnt the importance of animals for the blind and partially sighted. We learnt to fingerspell the alphabet and have also been tying knots with strawberry laces. A brilliant team of beaver leaders with lots of enthusiasm and every Sunday morning is packed with lots of fun activites for all

Alhamdulillah our volunteer information day was a success. A big thank you to everyone who attended and the volunteers who make days like these happen. Thank you to the Eden foundation, who are always there to support the community.
