Hit the North 2018 launches this evening at The Refectory 💥
The two beers, a NE IPA and a Brut IPA, were brewed on the same day, with the same hops and malt, the only difference between them is the yeast.
... To mark the launch, we've got something pretty special planned. My Thai will be serving up an oriental BBQ at The Refectory on Saturday, and there's going to be a shuttle bus running between The Refectory and North Brewing Co, so you can visit the home of both beers, no long walk required!

We're extremely proud to announce that we’ve been able to triple capacity due to the incredible amount of support generated through our crowdfunding campaign, Northern Rising. Thanks to our friends at Stainless Steel Vessels Limited, we now have 8 x 100HL conical FVs installed at our Sydenham Road site. This will allow us to meet the ever-increasing demand for our beer, whilst providing us with the capacity we need to grow further. A huge thank you goes out to each and every one of our investors for allowing us to achieve this momentous step in the development of Northern Monk Brew Co. Ditch the Shredded Wheat for smoked wheat in our Kentuckyshire Breakfast Stout, our latest Patrons Project release. 'Nowt Like a Proper Brew' is a collaboration with Louisville's Against The Grain Brewery, featuring more incredible artwork from Nomad Clan. We've already had some great feedback on this beer, let us know what you think to this Anglo-American inspired stout.

What an amazing place, fantastic beer and superb beer garden for drinking in the sunshine...

We held our wedding reception here this summer. An amazing venue, great staff and space! We obviously drank lots of their lovely beer and had a fantastic day. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a large and reception / party space. Amy, the events person was great at answering lots of our questions and helped with lots of things on the actual day. We prevailed upon Tara, the resident florist for our wedding flowers. She did an incredible job, she has fantastic taste and we would definitely recommend her services. Thanks Northern Monk!

We had a party at Northern Monk on Saturday. The staff on the night (Luke and Ruby) were superb and everything ran smoothly. Thank you also to Vik for helping us organise everything. The venue is amazing and perfect for all kinds of celebrations. Thank you.

Visited Northern Monk Brewery yesterday with my son. Amazing array of beers in a great setting on the first floor above the brewery. Friendly knowledgeable staff and a good list of merch. Great outside space which even has a beach with deck chairs! The surrounding area needs some TLC but I beleive the South Bank is an up and coming area which can only bode well for this special Mecca of craft brewing. Won't be long before we return.

The best brewery in the country by far right now. Great people, great beer and great times.

Sandpit in garden area looked great for sunny afternoons! Beer is lovely - obviously.

Popped in with a friend and our dogs yesterday. Great atmosphere, friendly and informative bar staff. I would usually drink cider but opted for Campfire Strannik stout � a little potent at 10%. Looking forward to this being canned �

Great keg ales and an amazing bacon and black pudding salad for brunch!

First visit and we stayed 4 hours! Some excellent beers (16 to go at), not cheap but worth the money, our favourites - New World and Northern Star. Wonderful Thai food for lunch by My Thai, exceptional quality and great selection on offer. Interesting location, helpful staff, good service, clean toilets, all made for a great experience! Looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic location,awesome beers,spicy coliflower wings!! absolutely delicious,super friendly staff and it even has a beach!!! Cannot wait to go again.

Dark City 2017 was an amazing festival of truly world class darks, and great to have it separate from hop city for those who prefer their porters and stouts unadulterated with hoppy flavour. Appropriately managed when we were there, considering some clientele were unused to the strength. Tokens for thirds, reasonable value, considering the exceptional quality. When is the 2018 one please?

Awesome beer and food. Great vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

10/10 for the layout, and awesome staff, was working an event past 2 days so did not try any alcohol.

So long story short.. had the northern monk stout in a pub in Newark on hand pub and loved it. Went to the brewery over the weekend and its all on keg and flat. Disappointed. Plus sides..very busy, beer was good, lovely re-generated location. Oh and it was rediculously expensive.
