Fred was left with us earlier this evening around 7pm and has since been inconsolable ever since! 😩 We have found him a friend for the time for the time been, and they have been getting up to mischief.

Went on Sunday for tea had the salad and Mediterranean tart it was lovely and tasty. Service was great and fast delivery of food . Looks great after the refurb. Will visit again .

We visited here yesterday to finish off the bank holiday weekend, this is the first time we've visited & we were impressed. The surroundings & ambience were lovely. The food was piping hot & tasty, the kids menu was varied & not just the usual chicken nuggets/fish fingers etc. My son really enjoyed his sausage, mash & peas followed by his ice cream.

My only criticisms are that we weren't shown or advised of the specials board & as we were sat behind it we didn't realise it was there until visiting the toilets & by that time we had already ordered, my only other minor criticism was that my husbands & my food was brought out before my 4 year olds.

These are only super minor issues & they will not prevent us from visiting here in the future.

We called in The Old Halfway House in Horbury yesterday for lunch. It's just been refurbished and looks lovely. We ordered two lasagnes, chips and focaccia bread. Also a side of special salad. The meal arrived within a short time. The lasagne was delicious and the salad really was special. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and helpful. I asked one of the girls if she'd take our photo because it was both our birthdays, and she was lovely and obliging. We had a pint of beer and a diet coke. We was absolutely amazed when we got our bill to find out it was only £18.34p ! What's not to like - excellent.

So family friendly which is perfect for us when we can treat the kids to a meal out �

Our favourite pub. Had a lovely meal with friends last night, they had never been before & were really impressed. Our food was really nice, cooked to perfection,hot & well presented 4 people & 4 empty plates. Great warm friendly atmosphere, great pub highly recommended

Had a lovely meal down at the old half way house. Not been in since the referb. No seating inside as it was full so sat in a hut outside an what a lovely experience it was. Food was served quickly, lovely and fresh and hot. Deserts we also delicious. It had just start to heavy rain as we ordered our deserts and had been discussing between our selfs how they were going to get to us without getting soggy....................... result.............. underneath a umbrella �. Staff were also really polite. � defiantly recommend and with defiantly be returning �

Had a fantastic evening for my mums 70th the waitress Amy looked after us from start to finish! Couldn't do enough for us! All 9 of us! Everything was perfect! She was fantastic with our children! The food was gorgeous! My mum said it was the best place she'd been xx

Went for the bank Holliday monday there was a bouncy castle on we ordered the sharing platter was really nice really busy but happy with service and food kids enjoyed bouncy castle.

We went for Sunday roast, we both had roast beef, it was very nice, presented nice, the staff were nice and pleasent and very helpful we had not been in for a few years, the refurbishing is nice. We will be going back.

We enjoyed a lovely meal last night, great burger deal on a Wed night. We hadn't been for years but now it's a family friendly place again, we will be back soon with our boys.

Just been for an early dinner with our 2 year old son and we were very pleasantly surprised! Great value menu with plenty of choice, the kids menu is really good, excellent portion sizes all round and very reasonably priced! The staff were friendly and attentive! The added bonus of a table with its own private tv screen was awesome and meant my son could watch CBeebies when he got bored!! Will definitely be back and can't wait to try the breakfast menu!

Good atmosphere and very child friendly however the food did not come up to standard for me. I had lasagne and it was extremely over cooked and had no taste kids meals were a bit dull also.. it's a shame I've visited this place lots of times over the years under numerous owners and this time I was very disappointed.

Unbelievable was told when I ordered sea bass that they had run out yet while we were having a drink the waiting staff were bringing round free tasters of sea bass!As a non meat eater who can't eat cheese there wasn't much other choice on the menunso ended up king elsewhere. Would definitely not recommend or be going there again.

There are certain staff working here that require training on how to notice the different between Guide Dogs and regular dogs. My friend was told that I couldn’t sit on the carpet area with my assistance dog and we would have to move. I didn’t, as I actually know the law regarding Guide Dogs. I can sit where I choose and that’s not where some ill educated barmaid would like us to. I won’t be visiting again.
