Help request if possible: We have been storing antique items for a long while and have collected a vast amount. The aim is to hold an Antique Auction at the end of February. I need someone that is clued up on antiques that wouldn’t mind giving me an hour or two of their time (would have to be free sorry) to advise me what are our ‘best’ items for auction. I just wanted to share this with you all.. my family and I attended our local village’s war memorial for a service just now. This art installation that had been created looked amazing and very affective. What was very moving though and created a talking point afterwards was the fact that the rain was really coming down throughout the service and just as our two minute silence ended, it literally just stopped raining and the sun shone through. We really appreciate donations and rely on these for us to raise money for The Salvation Army to do their excellent work. I must stress however that it is unacceptable for the odd person to fly tip broken large furniture items in to our yard without asking us. Twice in one week now this has happened and unfortunately this means we have to pay out of our charity funds to tip these items. I hope whoever is doing this bears this in mind and therefore doesn’t do it again... to everyone else - please don’t let this discourage you from bringing your ever valuable donations to us.
