Heroes come in all guises - that’s very true when it comes to our community that support us at the Hospice. Whether it’s supporting us by holding a cake sale, taking on a challenge or holding a ball - they all raise awareness of the Hospice and raise vital funds which means we can continue to support patients and their families from across Calderdale. Could you be a Hospice Hero? #notallheroeswearcapes

Thank you so much to Marks and Spencer Halifax for choosing us as their charity of the year. Together their staff and customers have raised an incredible £18,985.79 from bag packs, collecting boxes and staff fundraising. Thank you to everyone who has donated at one of the bag packs and thank you to M&S for your support! Because you care, we can.
The beautiful Memory Tree at Overgate Hospice has stood proudly at our entrance since it was first introduced in 2014. Five years have passed and each year, the tree glistens brighter in the sun with the names of so many wonderful people inscribed on each bronze, silver and gold leaf. If you would like to remember your loved one by adding their name or a message to our tree, please call us on 01422 387121 or visit https://www.overgatehospice.org.uk/…/gi ving-in…/memory-tree/ for more information.

As you sit down for your dinner tonight, the team at Overgate are preparing to make this evening a particularly special one.
Right now one of the patients on our Inpatient Unit is preparing to get married and we’ve been busy doing all we can to help this couple make special memories while they are still able.
This is just one example of how the Overgate team go above and beyond to make each day for our patients the best it can be and this is all thanks to the support we rece...ive from you, our community.
Because you care, we can.

Our Hospice Heroes have done a whole mix of activities over the years so for #ThrowbackThursday we’re taking a look back at this HERO: Ellie Mae Armitage organised a chocolate raffle in memory of her Grandad Frank. Her aim was to raise enough to buy a meal for every patient on our Inpatient Unit over Christmas time and she did it, raising £93.45.
