Parkdesigned Description
PARKdesigned was originally a collective of frustrated architects that entered architectural design competitions (in their spare time) in order to keep sane. The open nature of these competitions enabled us to experiment, play and question architectural design, with the resulting buildings quite often taking a playful yet functional form. We persisted in working in this manner until we formally registered as a company in 2011, this experience has ensured that we developed the correct working ethic that is logical and used in all our designs.
We have an open studio approach that ensures each individual project receives thorough investigation and analysis, resulting in a bespoke solution specifically tailored to each scheme.
Our ethos and attitude remains the same irrelevant of size or scale; to create exciting and interesting buildings and spaces that please, on budget and on time.

#TBT when we produced some fantastic 3D internal kitchen visuals for a client whose house we were completely renovating in Leeds. #throwbackthursday when we were asked by a private client to create an extension that would complement the existing house. The use of bi-folding doors and a large glass window on the south elevation brings a modern twist to an extension that is sympathetic to the existing house. Our lovely house that was once an ugly house. We were commissioned by a client who were expecting a baby to re-model their dated home in Leeds. Due to the baby coming the clients were wanting to complete the work as quick as possible. From the initial measured survey to handing over the finished extension, it took just over 4 months! Office design crit this afternoon on one of our residential projects. Good to get the opinion of the whole team when looking at a project. A few changes before the client sees the concept design.
We often design little study areas in our residential projects because some of our clients work from home or they just want a separate space for the kids to do their homework. These two pictures show how we have designed a study area in an underused space in the home and also how it has been defined as its own separate area either with shelving and a fitted desk or feature wallpaper.
You have to love a sliding door. This one was chosen and then a bespoke storage cupboard was designed to match. The sliding door is a great feature in this open plan kitchen living dining area and also helps with space saving.

It has been an exhausting week for us this week PARKdesigned with two planning approvals, new projects starting and even a birthday therefore it was nice to look back on one of our lovely residential projects today. We were asked to renovate and extend a home in Leeds that was in keeping with the original house. The old brown conservatory was demolished and a new single storey extension across the width of the house was added with bi-folding doors and rooflights. Internally we re-arranged the spaces to create an open plan living kitchen dining area, pantry, utility room and even a cinema room. Scroll across to see the evolution of the build.
Been very busy here at PARKdesigned looking at all different schemes from private homes to energy centres since the beginning of the year. Here are some lovely concept elevation studies for a gym changing room. Any preference? We are thinking of the first design.
A bit off topic from our interiors pictures but we had to share this photo of our bubble tea shop in Leeds. We visited this week and it was amazing to see people queuing out of the door. So pleased for @chatimeuk @chatime_leeds Interior pictures to come shortly once we can actually get in the shop!
As part of a complete renovation of a penthouse apartment in Leeds we were asked by the client to make a bigger and brighter bathroom with added features! If you scroll across for the before picture it shows how small the bathroom was, so small we could only photograph the toilet! We had to move some walls but a bigger bathroom was created with the added feature being a tap that can be turned on and off from your phone so the client can run a bath whilst on their way home.
