Review from Consett Festival by NE Volume Magazine As I entered the venue I could hear one of my favourite tracks of all time being played on the acoustic stage - The Jam’s: ‘That’s Entertainment’. Acoustic Weller is a tribute act to Paul Weller, and sometimes tributes, to me, just don’t hit the heights I’d hope for, but Acoustic Weller was exceptional. His vocal tones were, in particular, simply perfect, and at times I thought I was actually standing in the presence of the M...od God himself. "Acoustic Weller" features Mark from The new age Jam , playing a set of Acoustic Tunes from The Jam , Style Council and of Course Paul Weller’s extensive solo material. Mark comes with 13 years of portraying Paul Weller in The new age Jam and due to tragic circumstances in the band is now doing the Acoustic set to the legend that is Mr Paul Weller Recently supported Steve Cradock ( OCS and Paul Weller’s guitarist ) who’s comment was “ Excellent"

Vinyl DJ afternoon, Reggae/dub/ska/Motown/soul/funk and 60s/70s/80s vinyl classics, on Platform 3 at The West Riding, Dewsbury Railway Station.
2pm - 6pm free entry.

All aboard the train to Skadom. A brilliant evening of all your favourite Ska and 2 Tone tunes brought to you by Acoustic Skadom. Along with Skadoms two sets that is guaranteed to get you Skanking, there will also be their very own DJ Troy Ashton banging out some fantastic vinyl to keep you on the dance floor... A full outside bar with beer on draught, BBQ, free entry and extra toilet facilities! See you at the bar.....

So as not to confuse with the big shambang of Westival we'll be calling our mini festival THE WEST'S BIG WEEKEND as it will be on a smaller scale. We'll have music, beer and bbq only this year but it will still be blooming brilliant Harmony Of Spheres - HOS Acoustic Skadom Natalie & Robin’s vinyl afternoon and DJ afternoon on the Sunday. Get it in ya diaries folks 😊

All you old school Jam fans, who may recall The Jam Appreciation Movement playing around West Yorkshire a few years back. They're doing it again they played their first gig back in February at The Old Turk and will be performing for us on Platform 3. It'll be more casual attire, but as always, we'll be giving our all. Hope to see some old faces from back in the day - the scooterists always gave us entertaining evenings, especially those at Yeadon's Unit 4! Free entry
