Wearable glucose monitors will be made available to tens of thousands more people with type 1 diabetes from April 2019, NHS England has announced. Its decision comes after an investigation found patients in some areas of the country were being denied access to the device. It reduces the need for finger-prick blood tests and helps people with diabetes to manage their condition. #diabetes

In 2017, there were over 420,000 diagnoses of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in England and chlamydia accounted for nearly half of them, with 200,000 diagnoses. There were also more than 44,000 diagnoses of gonorrhoea. #sexualhealth

One in four patients would be more active if advised by a doctor or nurse, according to PHE yet medical professionals are reluctant to broach the topic “due to either lack of knowledge, skills or confidence”. I've attended various courses over past 3 years and have gained so much from attending. Fabulous place to learn and do much support. I've recommended to other people many times. Just hoping it survives the current lack of funding

Beautiful building, great place for training. Lovely lunch. Although it's distance learning, I felt I gained far more from attending the study days than from the reading material. Excellent trainers, obviously enjoy their jobs!!

Always dread the drive there. But once there it's like home from home. Really enthusiastic trainers who deliver only appropriate information in a lovely environment.

Lunch always a bonus �
