About Purity Acoustics

Purity Acoustics is a design and manufacturer of loudspeakers , speaker accessories, hi-fi racks etc. All our products are designed and handcrafted in UK

Purity Acoustics Description

Purity Acoustics is a small family owned loudspeaker design and manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire England. at Purity Acoustics we design and handcraft our loudspeakers by using some of the best materials and components available. Our cabinets are finished in real wood veneer or solid wood, however we are happy to let the costumer choose another type of veneer or a paint finish, matt, satin or gloss.
Many hours are spent designing our cabinets, we design and built our x-overs by using some of the most advanced software and hardware technology available to date. Our purpose built anechoic chamber allows us to analyze and carry out precision tests. All our products are put through performance tests and quality control checks before been advertised for sale. Most of metal accessories we use are manufactured in house, isolation feet, spikes, outriggers, turntable record stabilisers, solid metal phase plugs etc.
Whilst we have a good selection of products readily available we are more than happy to work with costumers to achieve a specific design requirement. Costumers are always welcome to visit our premises and use our auditioning room to test the products before buying.
After-sales care and support is one of our main priorities, we are never to busy to help or advise costumers and offer full support whenever it's needed

Dear friends I feel sad to say that purity acoustics page will be deleted soon. The partnership has come to a dead end and the company will be dissolved soon. Although this company was something that I believed in and had high hopes to become a highly competitive speaker manufacturing company in UK and worldwide, In order to achieve my dream I relied on my highly skilled business partner mr R Boci who has a huge talent on this field. Sadly he decided that he don't want to be... part of the partnership any more for reasons that i am unable to do anything or more in order to change his opinion. So I decided to let mr R Boci go and as I can no longer carry on this type of business I let him have ownership of the company name and company eBay page in the hope that the name Purity acoustics will continue to be a name associated with high quality products in the Hifi market as I always dreamed and believed it to be. Back at the Leeds Beckett university for some new tests last Friday. Some of less blurred photos i took. Taking a better camera with me next time. Photos cant do justice of how up to date the acoustic research facilities are. Big thanks to Senior Lecturer Mr Tim South for making us feel at home.

We are now using the sophisticated and ultra modern "Leeds Beckett University's" anechoic chamber to carry out our tests. This would would mean even more precision in testing our speakers and for the development of our x-overs and cabinets. We are pleased to be able to collaborate with such an successful and important institution and to be allowed to use their state of art acoustic testing and development facilities! Exiting days ahead!

Well pleased with our new large loudspeaker model. We called it the CLASSIC-S3 very deep gloss finish and high sound quality brings in mind just one word to describe it. Fantastic!

I have just taken delivery of a really stunning pair of stand mounted speakers from Purity. Roland delivered them on Wednesday. If you look at the new stand mount photos on the home page and photo page here, that's them. SRG is the model code. They replace a venerable pair of Rogers Studio 7s in a secondary system. I am delighted with them. The finish is beautiful in high gloss Macassar Ebony with the drive units (61/2" bass/mid, 61/2" rear facing passive radiator and 22ml Al/Mg tweeter) having protective metal grilles rather than a large fabric grille. Roland offered me a range of choices before he started to make them; the veneer and finish, the grilles and the grain direction. I chose vertical as it makes the speakers and stands look all of a piece. He sent me photos of the speakers during the manufacturing process, which was a nice touch. Of course we should judge speakers with our ears, but it is lovely to have speakers which look beautiful too. Thankfully they sound as good as they look. They sounded great out of the boxes, but are improving all the time as they run in. They go deeper than you could possibly expect for a box just over 14" tall and this is true bass - no mid bass bloat. The spec says 33Hz - 30,000Hz (-3db) and it certainly feels that way to me. 40Hz notes from the bottom E of a bass guitar or double bass are reproduced with ease. The midrange is clean and revealing without being fatiguing in any way. The top end is extremely extended and analytical. This suits me as I do like to hear everything - warts and all. The tweeters sounded a little over bright for some tastes at first, but are smoothing out all the time as they run in, without losing any definition. I had just the same experience (but even more so) when I changed the beryllium tweeters on my Usher Be 10s for the DMD diamond versions. They were very hard at first, but now sound stunning, so I'm very comfortable with the way these tweeters are bedding in. All in all, I'm really pleased. It's rather wonderful to see real craftsmanship these days. You don't see many reviews of Roland's speakers. This is a small scale hand made operation which doesn't make enough speakers to supply shops. Don't let that put you off. On the contrary, what you get here is an extremely good product, with obsessive attention to detail and the ability to customise your speakers. What's not to like?! I'll try to post a photo in situ by commenting on another review. I think that's the only way to do it.

I commissioned a pair of reasonably large standmount speakers from Roland two years ago.

I was looking to replace my ageing RAM and AVI monitors and liked the look of Roland's work, from examples i'd seen from his (then) ebay offerings.

In my case every aspect of the design, choice of veneer, dimensions, everything ...was aired via email at the time before Roland started work. The units needed to fit into an existing music room space . so overall width , depth height were important. All were taken care of.

Nothing in the technical spec was left to chance.

The internals of my two -way units are based on SEAS mid-woofer and tweeter units, arranged in a diagonal in-line, front ported. Wrapped in an oak veneer.

They have been driven by various QUAD amplification, currently my John Shearne Integrated (50 wpc into 8 ohms), with Marantz cd94 and Michell Turntable sources.

We listen to everything from Tallis to Underworld though them.

I'm not going to attempt to describe sound quality other than that they are very detailed, revealing with a precise bass and smooth treble.

Also, the build quality is excellent , bespoke-quality. Including the matching stands.

I was a nervous of packaging as the completed order was packed up by Roland and sent via courier (bad experiences of bent fins on quad 303s in transit) .. i need not have been. The packaging was a work of art in itself.

Highly Recommended.
