Ravensprings Park, Brighouse And Halifax Model Engineers

This is from the days when we ran Santa Specials. Merry Christmas to all!

We now have a proper gate to separate in and out on platform 1 Ravensprings Low Level Station

One our members is busy making a new traditional sign for Ravensprings Low Level Station.
We are lucky that another member has access to laser cutting and did the base work. The second member is then adding all the detail.

There is plenty happening at Ravensprings Park in our winter shut down period. We are working on fencing, the Ravensprings Low Level Station Canopy and shifting the avalanche of leaves.
Of course members are busy building new locos, maintaining existing locos and, in this case, converting a carriage to a tram! Yes it will have a cab on both ends.

Well someone has got a fire going ready for this afternoon. Have a peak inside the guards van and see what Martyn is cooking whilst travelling around Ravensprings. 😮

So don't be late the trains start at 1:30

We hope to make some use of platform 2 on Sundays‘ Open Day.

Flashback Friday but going back a long way with the original footbridge to the ground level track.

We had our son's 3rd birthday party here and it was absolutely wonderful! 😊 Had the grounds and trains all to ourselves for three hours. The children absolutely adored hopping on and off the trains as many times as they liked. We had full use of the kitchen for buffet and tea/coffee and the toilets were clean. Thank you so much...in the words of our son 'We had the best train party in the whole world' 😊 🚂

We had a fun filled afternoon at Ravenspring Park. The miniature trains are very impressive and the people that run the event are super friendly. Well worth a visit. The kids loved it!

This was a good little find thanks to Facebook Events! Great value for money. We all loved the train rides and would recommend it.

Such a cool place and something different to do. Tea and cakes sensibly priced too!

Our first visit today & it was fantastic! Our 2 children had such a great time. Lovely place and especially fantastic cakes for sale too! Will be back for sure xx ���

One of my favourite things to do in Brighouse! It really is a fabulous family afternoon that is great value for money, riding the trains as many times as you want or just basking in the sun on the lawn with some delightful refreshments from the excellent cafe. All staff/volunteers are wonderful and the facilities are constantly improving. All we're missing now is the Santa special again - I'm certain you would get enough help organising it if wanted xx

Ideal for families with young children.

Had a fantastic afternoon here, unlimited train rides (only limited by the length of the queues) and lots of lovely steam trains and models for my 2 year old boy to watch! We'll definitely be back!

Great value for money, another fantastic afternoon

Great place to take the kids well worth a visit the cafe also does great cakes teas coffees ice creams alsorts, there's a nice big grass area for picnics too.. and all run by lovely people who make it a great afternoon out.. Only downside is parking basically there is none & your parking where people live so I suggest walking to as it saves the hassle ;)

Brilliant event, came just for the last hour and it was probably the best time to come as it was starting to quieten down. The people who ran this event were very welcoming and helpful �
