Reviews
This Sat. (21st July) is the last Bakehouse until August Bank Holiday weekend (25th August). All the loaves will be large (easy to freeze). Oak-Smoked Granary, and Khorasan Sourdoughs return, as do Lemon & Rosemary Baguettes.
There will be Petit Praluline Tropezienne brioches and more Hokkaido Chocolate Bread (pic).
Danenut of the Week is Cherry Légère.

The perfect baker's breakfast: Turkish bagels delivered fresh from Istanbul by the ever-generous @muratozkasim . Don't expect me to bake these. They've a bit out of my league. My own iced mint kvass though.
Einkorn with Hazelnut & The Sunflower Sourdough (pic) are the specials at the Bakehouse this Sat. 7th July. Also new is the Petit Praluline brioche and Clementine Swirl Rolls. By popular demand, Hokkaido Chocolate Bread returns, as do Chaussons aux Pommes.

Final attempt of the season to make rhubarb cider. Third time lucky I hope.
Swiss Dark Ruchbrot is the sourdough special at the Bakehouse this Sat. 16th June. There might be some 100% rye Borodinsky Bread too.

This week, we’re continuing to rotate ancient grain sourdoughs for lovers of tasty bread. Stureby Emmer loaves are the Bakehouse special this Sat. 2nd June.
Danenut of the week is Lemon Crème.
In addition to the usual regulars, there'll be some Almond Croissants, Lemon & Poppy Shortbread (vegan) & Pasteis de Nata.
Lots of customer favourites are back at the Bakehouse this Sat. 26th May: Oak-Smoked Granary, large Khorasan Whites, & Sunflower Sourdough (pic). Probably the last week for Wild Garlic Fougasse I’m afraid.
Danenut of the Week will be another favourite: Strawberry Légère Cream.
There will be lots more of both the Rhubarb and Irish Cream Scones. Thai-Scented Pasteis de Nata return too.
Lots of people missed out on the San Joaquin Sourdough, Chaussons aux Pommes, & Mango Swirl buns last week, so they’ll be repeat specials at the Bakehouse this Sat. 19th May.

New look Hidden Egg Picnic Muffins. Either wrapped in prosciutto or wild garlic (vegetarian).
It's wild garlic foraging season, so inevitably the sourdough special at the Bakehouse this Sat. 5th May is Wild Garlic Sourdough (don't worry, there'll be WG fougasse too). The weekend weather forecast is good which means Hidden Egg Picnic Muffins return.

Due to popular demand, both the Khorasan & Pan de Cebolla sourdoughs return to the Bakehouse this Sat. 28th April. Pistachio Maritozzi (pic) also return & there will be Almond Creme Brioche. Danenut of the Week is Blueberry Légère.
New to the Bakehouse this Sat. 21st April is Pan de Cebolla (carmelised onion sourdough). Khorasan White sourdough returns (pic). Lots more Wild Garlic Fougasse too.

My partner goes every week and always returns with so much delicious bread and pastries. The sourdough loaves last all week and taste fantastic.
Martin is a fantastic baker. His bread is simply the best locally.
Lovely products and a good variety on offer. Martin was very helpful in explaining what was available and what was in them, and his passion and enthusiasm was apparent in both his manner and the delicious things we bought (croissants, a doughnut with fresh cream and roasted nectarine, and sourdough bread with sun-dried tomatoes). Try it, you won't be disappointed.
I visited this morning and was delighted. I bought a potato and rosemary sourdough loaf, two sourdough chocolate donuts and 2 apple buns - all vegan, all delicious. Oh no! This is going to become a habit...
I can't rate this place highly enough! First visit today after endorsement from some serious bakers I know and it did not disappoint. The kids looked on gleefully from the car whilst I bought the most incredible pain-au-chocolat and other pastries for a post-swimming lesson treat. I am working my way through the baguette each time i wander through my kitchen so I am ruined forever RUINED! Expect a little queue and make the most of ear wigging on the menu explanations whilst you do....it's worth it....We will be back xxx
Had my first lot of pastries & lamb sausage roll this morning as a special birthday treat. Now I wish it was my birthday every day! So tasty and different to anything else you can get. Loved it - is an understatement.
Great! Just had the peppery bread with truffle gouda! Looking forward to checking out the sweeter things later this evening.

First time at the bakehouse, tried the cinnamon bun and partner had a vegan lemon shortbread both were awesome !
Only lesson that we have learnt is to get there earlier ... opens at 9am. Awesome. �
