Routes Festival Description
Established in 2013, Routes Music Festival provides a platform for young musicians (aged 12-24yrs) to showcase their talents on an open and accessible stage.
Routes Festival will have live music across two stages throughout the day, encompassing a wide range of musical styles from pop to indie, to metal to acoustic.
Alongside the live acts, the Festival will also deliver a full programme of music making workshops, intended to engage young people who have never thought about picking up an instrument or had the opportunity before.
Routes Festival will:
- Enable young people to develop their skills.
- Create new opportunities in performance, musicianship and partnership working.
- Act as a platform for showcasing the talents of young people.
Supported by the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery fund.
Reviews
Rock School is a great place to learn, meet other musicians, form a band & write songs. Opportunities to rehearse, collaborate, perform and record are also included in this project. Orange Box young people's centre
