Wonderful food and amazing staff - perfect handling of 6 children and 7 adults!! Nothing was too much trouble and they even added a ‘special’ on request to their specials menu - what stars! ⭐️

Went there this evening and loved it. We booked last minute but they managed to fit us in and the food was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and go back again. Friendly service too! Thanks.

We were at the Salumeria for a special evening event with a two course meal. The veggie antipasti were gorgeous and the main course pasta Norma (with aubergine) was absolutely delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was soooo good. Good friendly service too. We had a great evening.

We went along for the first of Gip's jazz nights - so the restaurant was very busy but we were treated to excellent service and all our meals were great. Arancini (mushroom risotto balls to you & me!) were delicious and I followed those with Branzino - sea bass with beautiful flavoursome vegetables in a lovely savoury broth - healthy and low carb (important to me at the mo) but really satisfying. Daughter's pizza was fab, vegetarian son had great choices & OH's pasta dish really tasty. All served up with smiles and with the bonus of some great live music - a very successful night, thanks all.

Very friendly staff & they couldn’t do enough for us on our valentines date night. The food was delicious. We love going to Salvos, I would recommend anyone to go.

The whole evening was great! Ambiance, service, and especially the food! Kudos to chef and all the staff. We were a party of 10 for a special occasion and were very glad we picked Salvo’s. We will be back for more. Maybe for the private party area upstairs.

Really great food, can highly recommend the Octopus starter. The team were great with the kids too. We come every New Years Eve for an early tea and loved the refurb this year. Booking the Salumeria at the end of January for the regional tasting menu too. You'd have to go a long way to beat these guys for Italian food; Italy probably...

Popped in for a drink at the jazz night just over a week ago and after seeing the food and the amazing smells coming out the kitchen, so I booked a table for my wife's birthday yesterday we were NOT disappointed! The staff were amazing the food was amazing and the atmosphere always spot on!! I plan on returning and working my way through the menu very soon!!

Me and my boyfriend came to the restaurant last night and enjoyed a lovely meal, being gluten free I haven’t been able to have pate for around 6 years, salvos catered for me just as much as anyone else. My boyfriend who normally thinks gluten free food is rubbish also loved my pasta and breads!! Will definitely return if in the area again.

Lovely food and service as always. Pity the test cricket crowd were a bit drunk and rowdy on this occasion!

I visited Salvo’s this afternoon with my Mum & Mother in Law to be for a very special lunch to celebrate finding my wedding dress. We had a lovely meal, the food and the service was excellent. We’ll no doubt be visiting again soon!

Brilliant atmosphere, staff were excellent and food was the best, what more could you wish for. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food... real southern Italian pizza to die for. We had 5 small dishes on top too and all were outstanding with very high quality ingredients speaking for themselves. Highly recommended

Go every year when the test match is on, the place is full , lively and food and service are very good

A Nice restaurant i had meat balls in Tomto sausevery nice and Avery nice pizza for main course my wife had pate which was very nice she had lamb pasta all in all 8/10

Went last night for a friend's birthday. 17:30 arrival. My son's pizza was soggy and wasn't suitable to take the 3 remaining pieces home. My lasagne was slightly overlooked and too tomatoey for me. It just tasted of tomatoes purée. The desert however was very nice. The staff were friendly. Service was slow between courses considering it was an early booking. The maitre d' politely asked if we could move upstairs as they needed the table. Which I didn't have an issue with. I did think on reflection however as a party we did order pretty quickly and didn't procrastinate again indicating the slowness between each course. Sorry, I'm not in the habit of leaving negative reviews, I normally only go to the trouble if I'm leaving a 5*, but I'm afraid to say I left feeling I had had a very mediocre meal.

Very poor service salvos were one of my favourite restaurants not anymore I’m afraid. only been here for 40 minutes and we have had 2 people at each side of us complain :(

Very Disappointing Birthday Evening



I now live in St Albans, but return to Bradford three times a year. Friends suggested that I try out Salvo's when I visit, I've been meaning to go for 2 years. I finally got there with 2 friends and their daughter to celebrate my birthday. I was disappointed to see on the booking acknowledgement that we only had the table for 2 hours. In the end the 4 of us couldn't wait to get out of the place. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The food was passable, but nothing special. Unfortunately, my ravioli arrived warm, not hot, and had to be sent back. I was given profuse apologies as I watched my friend eat. They then sat and watched me eat! Not great!



However, the main problem of the evening was the table we were given, table 42! It is situated near the door to the toilets and upstairs dining, a very busy thoroughfare that evening, constantly being opened. My friends daughter (sat with her back to the door) has long hair, and every time it was opened and closed her hair got blown everywhere. At one point she felt obliged to get up and open the door for a waitress who was carrying 3 pizzas, and so couldn't open the door. None of us enjoyed the evening. To add insult to injury there were 2 nice tables for 4 which were vacant for the duration of our meal. When we had finished our meal a server suggested that we could go and sit at one of these tables and have a drink and relax. We went home to relax.



They should get rid of table 42. I was given a discount by way of an apology, but all 4 of us agreed that we would have been happier if we had paid the amount of the bill not to have gone there. Not recommended!
