Personal best 280kgx6.....what's this RPE?
Just getting back to handling mid-level weights before getting really serious.

Caption this! I was getting ready for one of my deadlift attempts. The funniest/most clever gets a cyber medal emoji 🥇

Some of favourite memories from Kaunas
🔸 Sharing the podium with these young powerlifting monsters @emppanorling, Vladislav 🔸 My team who came all the way from England to support me, @mtsportstherapyandperformance, @cookie_powerlifter, Carolynn & Ian - thanks guys! 🔸 Meeting some of Team GB @supermanhf, @ash.liston, including how @wes_hall makes me look tiny 😳... 🔸 How scared do I look in the squat photo....but at least I squatted deep!

Couldn't have done this without the expert handling of the GBPF coaches @henrytosh_coach and his team, Team GB lifters, the amazing support of @mihaitriponsportstherapy, @cookie_powerlifter, Carolynn, Ian who flew out to be by my side, as well as all the love I felt from all my social media followers, my personal training clients, the @grafthaus family as well as my family.
The support has been tremendous, thank you all while I hang around on Cloud Nine for a long time.

Almost time in Lithuania for IPF Euro Championship. Livestreaming on https://goodlift.info/live.php from 11.30am UK Saturday.
I'm going dark now....so to speak and will catch you all on the other side of competing.

First single of peaking block, 345kg/759lbs and it's an all time personal best. It also exceeds my British open record of 341.5kg @105kg on a very unforgiving stiff bar.
This weight will move faster as I reduce fatigue, peak then taper down for the European Classic championship in just under 4 weeks.
Get ready to see 350kg+ as I realise my lifetime dream of hitting this weight.... #deadlift #deadlifts

She did it.. 🔸 UKUP overall bikini British champion and now a PRO CARD holder! Not bad for 1st year competing @emclark.__
I'm already putting together a plan for even bigger improvements for next year. Enjoy your couple of days off 😊 ----------------------------------------- -------... Reposted from @emclark.__ (@get_regrann) - Soooo yesterday I became the BRITISH BIKINI OVERALL CHAMPION at the @ukultimatephysiques British Championships 💥🤩😱🎉 . I placed first in my category of Ultimate Beginner Bikini, and then went on to win Overall Bikini Champion at the end of the show, competing against all of the other winners from the day. I was also awarded my WUP Pro Card! . Absolutely did not expect to win the Overall so it was an incredible surprise and amazing way to round of my very successful first year of competing 😁 Over the moon with my achievements from this year 🙌🏼 . So excited to be entering my offseason with my amazing coach @samwattfitness to work on my weaker areas and bring an undeniable package next year. The team Watt takeover continues!! 👊🏼 . Thank you to everybody who wished me good luck, and to all of the girls I've met through competing this year who have been beyond supportive and lovely! Thank you also to the entire team at @ukultimatephysiques for being so warm and friendly and for putting on a fantastic show. . Until next time 😎 . . 310kgx5 personal best deadlift by 10kg......what RPE and is my 341.5kg British deadlift record in danger?
After been laid low for the past nearly 2 weeks with a nasty combination of flu/cold (say man flu & I'll block you!) that put my training on hold it's nice to be back and feeling human again.

200kgx8 banded hip-thrusts, my favourite personal best of the week for those booty 🍑 gainz.... especially as I hate doing this exercise!
After struggling to perform 100kg on this exercise just a few months ago, I realised I had a problem with activating my glutes properly even though I could squat 315kg raw. This went somewhere to explained why I had a knee valgus (cave) when I was squatting because I couldn't properly engage with my glutes to keep my knees over my toes when ...ascending in the squat.
Performing this exercise, working with my sports therapist @mtsportstherapyandperformance along with glute medial activation drills prior to squatting has really helped the stability of my squats.
Onto 250kg soon....that's hip-thrusters not squats! 💪🏿

Another leg day, another pb on squat, 260kg/572lbs x8 in sleeves. This was a tough one based on the total volume, intensity and weight lifted - 250kgx7, 250kgx8, 260kgx8. Happy with the way every rep moved.......just laying the foundation to build that big squat
Thanks for great support @mtsportstherapyandperformance, @cookie_powerlifter, @emclark.__ and @luis_silva_fitness.

Here's the 8 week transformation of client @jdhcitizens7611. Josh came to me 8 weeks ago to get leaner and build muscle and we've certainly achieved that as he's exactly the same weight at 80kg as when we started.
With quads and muscle bellies like these, who knows..... we may eventually see Josh on a natural bodybuilding stage at some point! 💪🏿

2 days to the GBPF British Open in Dover where I'll be going for my 17th National powerlifting title and I'm excited to hit that stage once again.
This prep has been challenging to say the least, due to picking up a very unwanted and annoying leg/hip injury 4 weeks out but all powerlifters have to contend with injuries and niggles so let's do this!
Just finished eating my 5000 calories and 800g of carbs today, so i should sleep well tonight before the 5 hour car journey to th...e other side of the country tomorrow morning.
I'll keep you all updated.

🔸Back training - Powerlifting vs Bodybuilding.
🔸 If POWERLIFTING is your priority then you really need to limit the amount of exercises you're doing to build that back strength especially in your strength and peaking blocks. For me it's simply two exercises (shown here) pullups and bent over rows. I'd love to do single arm db rows, cable exercises and lots of varied exercises where I can feel a tight muscle contraction but if your goal is strength then get stronger with the t...ried and tested basic exercises. Remember, too much overall volume and you'll struggle to recover from all your powerlifting sessions.
🔸 If BODYBUILDING, I'd still focus on getting progressively stronger with a couple of solid exercises such pendlay rows, seal rows, pullups etc then add additional exercises such as single arm work to add the necessary volume to grow while giving you that all important pump that every bodybuilder loves

As with the squat, weight goes up - weight moves more quickly, 280kgx5x2. This time last year 280kgx3 was my top weight for reps....progress
Managed to drop bodyweight from 109.1kg to 106.8kg in 11 days with no loss in strength on 3400 calories. The plan is to get to my stage weight of 105kg and sit there 4 weeks out as I don't want to be in a caloric deficit leading up to the show.

Happy with handling these 50kg/110lbs dumbells for the first time ever. I've never really done much heavy shoulder pressing previously. I done more isolation work to build the different heads of the delts but I can' no longer afford to have weak shoulders if I want to bench press heavy.
Pretty sure i can push these up to 70kg pretty quickly

First session with @jasmin___fitness and squat plateaux broken with no back or sciatica pain. It's all about the squat setup and technique ....she'll finally break that 100kg lifetime goal in our second upcoming session 👍🏿 ---------- Reposted from @jasmin___fitness (@get_regrann) - First powerlifting session went downnn yesterday and it was leg day! I struggled for months trying to get past 70/80kg without a belt or spot, I suffer from sciatica... BUT one session with @samwattfitness has got me pushing 80kg and more, with the right warm up, technique and NO SPOT OR BELT! Flew straight up with no pain or discomfort! SWIPE TO SEE 80 & 90kg SQUAT.. This is just the beginning for me...

Requests for my first ever bodybuilding show. It was the 2014 NPA Yorkshire championships, with a full house. Trained bodybuilding style for a couple years before this and weighed 97kg.
Posing was terrible, I felt a bit awkward on stage but nevertheless I enjoyed it and had enough muscle to take away that 1st place
