We come here quite often for breakfast and other days for lunch which are fab and good value with good products. First time we called on a Thursday night for tapas which we've been seeing it advertised on facebook and wanting to come. Food was great. Loved having little dishes of food round the table with steaming goodies on. Best one is the pork with black pudding and apple jam followed by the peppers with shredded beef. There was loads to choose from and can even order more later. Friendly and pleasant service as always and great food. Well recommended and great value for money.

This a lovely place the staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is gorgeous I meet up with friends about every 2 months and we always come to valentines it is so welcoming usually after our meal I buy cheese to take home they have a very good selection I would definitely recommend it to family and friends

Their fountains gold cheese is absolutely delicious and great value for money! And the food from their cafe is great as well!

Really love this place their Yorkshire rarebit is just �. Really friendly and helpful staff. The food is spot on and the cheese amazing my favourite is Yorkshire cask. The preserves are really nice and the meat from the butchers is good quality. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely family run business. Always smiling happy and friendly. We go quite often and it's always quick efficient service with a smile always time for a chat. The food is always top quality and hot. I have also used the butchers there too and the meat has always been fantastic 😀

I visited your cheese mongers earlier this week. I needed a selection of cheeses. I was a real pain, but the staff were so helpful & pleasant & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making my day & a added bonus I bought a couple of pies which were gorgeous. Thank you for all your help & kindness xx

I visited yesterday with my daughter and my friend with her 2girls. We couldn’t decide what to order as there was so much choice. I ordered the pulled beef sandwich my daughter had pulled pork sandwich..my friend chose the chicken and ham pie and her 2girls has soup&sandwich. I have to say the food was divine. The best pulled pork and beef I’ve ever had. My friend who hadn’t been before couldn’t stop saying how much she had enjoyed it. We were very naughty and had cakes too..coffee&walnut carrot cake and chocolate orange all delicious. The staff are really friendly too and nothing is too much trouble for them. Well worth a visit.

I came for lunch today with my friend and I had a roast pork sandwich with roasties. I have to say that it’s the nicest thing I’ve eaten in ages. Absolutely gorgeous x

I absolutely love this place! The cakes are great, the butcher is fantastic and has some great deals and meal suggestions and the pies are amazing! Can’t get enough of the cheese too. A great local business for bits of shopping or sit down food. Highly recommended x

Had a lovely evening on Thursday with friends. Tapas night has such a relaxing ambient atmosphere. Tried Various dishes (approx 10-12) 3 bottles of wine and a bottle of prosecco between 4 of us for less than £90!! Felt like I was sat in 🇪🇸 on my hols! Will definitely visit again. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

First visit at Samual Valentine this morning, I Ordered the yorkshire breakfast and I must say it was delicious, it was quite busy but the wait wasn’t long. The staff were very friendly and I Thought it was a quirky place, i most definitely will be returning...

Best pies for miles around. Fantastic friendly welcoming team with superb quality meats, cheeses. Lovely quirky cafe too. Worth a visit. X

As regular visitors to the meat counter and deli, we are always impressed with the quality and value of the food and meat. Breakfasts are delicious and the meat is always exceptional. Highly recommended.

As always the food was gorgeous and the staff are just so lovely and helpful. It’s relaxed and comfortable and so much to choose from and such great things to take home. You can’t beat their various pork pies. Would highly recommend you try it if you haven’t already.

Massive disappointment at the tapas night after a hour only had 4 dishes comprising off 1slice of bread 1 slice of bread with garlic and cheese some potatoes with tomato sauce and a meat platter not what I was expecting the one member of staff that was taking orders was working her arse off with from what I could see next to no help. The food was ok not exceptional but then again we had to share 1 slice of bread

I was looking forward to this all week � Went to the tapas night the food was nice what we got, but the service was not what I expected at all there seemed to be only one poor girl serving every table and when where where told we could order more we thought fab ! But it took over an hour to get the 4 plates we ordered then no one came to collect the plates and take another order, the table wasn’t really big enough to order more than 4 dishes, we could see another 3 staff members behind the counter talking, it could be a fab night if these few issues where addressed I hope to try different nights you have to offer and hope they are a bit better it’s a real shame because we come fore breakfast and it’s perfect and faultless

We bought food from the deli to take home. The ham was lovely. The 3 scotch eggs were very tasteless we didn't eat them. I paid £2 for a block of butter it was tasteless (not just unsalted but just tasted odd) It went off within 4 days of opening despite being kept within a container. Very disappointed in the food considering the cost. The cafe looked inviting and the staff were friendly.

No bacon sandwiches cos they've stopped serving breakfasts. Always find the service in here really slow. Most of the tea cups were unclean. Butter on the scone was as thick as my cheese in my sandwich. Toilets are not up to much. Not really sure why all the hype or they received a Royal Visit. Food is ok. Just needs better organisation of staff. Young lad today was very nice and pleasant that served us.
