Announcement: Closure due to the Corona Virus
Statement for members and prospective members:
Dear Scramblers,
... Regretfully, we are making the decision to close the Academy during the Corona Virus pandemic effective immediately. This means that there will be no classes tomorrow, next week or for the immediate future.
We understand that closing our business is a more stringent precaution that currently recommended by the UK Government, however, the activities we undertake at Scramble such as grappling and striking contravene even the mild, initial social distancing guidelines. Therefore we are joining many other gyms in this country, and indeed, around the world in doing our part.
After all, we are not sitting in a coffee shop well away from others and avoiding hugs and handshakes. We are rolling with each and breathing the same air as up to 70 other highly active people on any one day!
Our top priority is the health and wellbeing of our members and the general public and should this pandemic unfold in the way that it is projected we could very well see the gym closed for a little while. Please understand that we do not want to close our doors unless it was in everyone’s best interest.
We have invested massively into each of you, this community, the facility, and in bringing you the best service we can on a daily basis! We would very much appreciate your support in the early stages of the Corona Virus pandemic and we are (relatively) happy to announce we will be posting technique videos and streams online for each of our disciplines for you to keep your progression moving. We will be trying to keep the community engagement up also! We would ask that you please not cancel your memberships if you can afford not to.
Depending on how long we are affected by the government's "delay phase" and how things develop, we will review what to do with memberships in the most equitable way possible. We know that many of us may be unable to work in the coming weeks and months and that everyone will be under financial pressure.
That said, if you really have to cancel your membership please inform us so that we can do it for you.
Scramble Academy Leeds is a source of joy for everyone involved, particularly we coaches, and we are grateful for all the time we have on the white mats. We hope this is merely a speed bump.
Finally, know that we are here to support you and we are very sorry we cannot provide a much needed outlet for all the stress and worry to come.

Empire Grappling takes place on the 25th of this month! It's a very well run show and it's Yorkshire based this time!

We're open tomorrow from 11am! The Champ Champ @scramblefredbjj is teaching gi at 12pm and the other Champ Champ @mkbbodyandmind is teaching Muay Thai at 2pm. Don't forget kid's classes don't start again until the 11th!
