Sunshine on a Bank Holiday drinking a Bloody Mary and eating a Roast thinking about how you're not cycling 5 hours in the Tour de Yorkshire and feeling damn fine about it. . .
Shears Roasts served til 4!

amazing once again, love this place! went in a group of 6 + puppy for bottomless brunch. reserved a table outside for us and without fail everytime one of us finished a drink, someone was there to serve us. food was unreal as usual - one of my fave places in Leeds.

User

We tried the set menu out at shears yard and it was the first time we’d visited. We weren’t disappointed, the place itself is lovely and rustic and the service was really good. The food was super, it was a nice amount, smartly presented and the marshmallow desert was to die for! Oh and I’ve now found my new favourite wine! Will definitely be back :)

User

We called in on Sat 16th, never been before. As usual 'we' just expect to call in to any restaurant 6.30 - 7.00 and we're usually dissapointed. I know we were lucky to walk in but, we we're made very welcome and even though there was a family party of 30/40 people we were looked after and the menu was explained to us (it did not need explaining but it was attentive) We both really enjoyed it and would (will) go again. Thanks xxx

User

This is our go-to place for special occasions - when you want to feel a bit fancy, but not foodie formal. The food is incredible, a real experience and the value is amazing. Service can't be beaten too - great at accommodating big groups (bottomless brunches especially!) and always so attentive. Always the one I recommend to out of towners looking for a great meal in the city. Love how they make the most of local produce and experiment with flavours

User

The food here blows my mind. The tasting menu and accompanying wine flights are sublime. The service is top notch. 10 out of 5

User

Just spent a very nice Sunday afternoon at Shears Yard. We all really enjoyed the delicious food and I find it hard to believe that the Guardian review was written by anybody sensible! Today`s experience and our previous experience was top drawer. The staff were excellant, the food was fab and the Cabernet Franc was perfect for what we wanted. My only grumble is that not enough people were dining there but it was Mens Final at Wimbledon and the World Cup Final.

Do yourselves a favour and support this classy independent restaurant.

Well done Shears Yard!!

Had an amazing dinner, fabulous service and great company. Absolutely loved it. ÔøΩ

Had a lovely meal here yesterday! Food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Lovely relaxed atmosphere as well. Will be back again soon!

User

Fantastic afternoon celebrating my 50th in the sun with Bottomless brunch, food was so tasty & endless drinks, staff looked after us all so well. Definately recommend to friends. Thank you.

User

Atmosphere was vibrant and the staff were friendly & selfless. Food was delicious. Loved it, definitely going back!

User

Went for Christmas work meal - starter was mediocre but the main and dessert was sublime! Service was brilliant even though there were 3 large parties in the restaurant. Love it here and will keep coming back!

User

We went on Saturday 28th April for the bottomless brunch and had a very good time. The 'rules' were explained and it's a good concept to a point. Some of the food portions were smaller than others but were tasty. The staff were very friendly and efficient even though it was busy.

User

Menu not great for a Sunday One starter thought good and it was looking forward to main .....ordered medium rare beef a Sunday dinner but sadly was like granny’s over cooked. Mush. A few friends ordered the veggie options oh dear a plate of slop . Was s friends birthday so didn’t make too much of a fuss but did bring it to the lovely waitress s attention but then heard nothing back ? It sounds lovely but it’s really not

User

Was looking for a romantic restaurant for a special night. Time Out recommended the Shears Yard as one of the most romantic places in Leeds to eat. Looking at the romantic pics on the website thought we'd give it a go. Unfortunately a mistake. I can be a hipster as the next guy but sitting in a school dinner hall choosing from a very limited menu wasn't for us. The food was fussy and lacked taste and heat. Presentation over taste. The only thing good was the service and the cocktails. Have drink there then eat elsewhere. Do it quick though before this place disappears up its own arse.

User

Told me off for drinking too fast... even though advertised as much as you can drink... very strange. Didn't feel welcome from moment 1. 2nd star because the toilet handryer was efficient and helped clean my shirt after a spillage.

User

Lovely place but poor service. After being there 10 minutes had a tray full of drinks spilt down me by a waitress. Nothing was done to apologise apart from a waitress telling me it would be ok because it is only prosecco so wouldn't stain my white top. It has put me off going again.

User

If it wasn't for the fact the food was nice this would of been rated at one star, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel like we were in the way, we had the bottomless brunch. drinks and food menu was limited and they only let you have something different if you absolutely didnt like any drinks on the menu, they make it quite clear there not impressed in providing you with another drink not on the menu even though I can't see why it makes a real difference, food was nice but the portion sizes were TINY, 2 young girls who served us were rude and one had the cheek to count glasses to make sure we were not lying about not receiving a drink, she rolled her eyes and walked away. For it to be more successful the room needs to be bigger and a bit cooler would of been nice it was boiling in there in April so I wouldn't want to go in there in July. Not very impressed won't be back

User

Food was good, service wasn't so good, on booking we stated we was coming for and engagement I then reminded them when we was there to see if they could do something a bit special for my friend, they said it wasn't a problem and would do something! We got fed up of waiting and asked for the bill, I mentioned I was disappointed and I didn't even get an apology. Just wanted us to pay and leave wasn't bothered about giving us a experience

User

Poor service and also everyone else around us on the bottomless brunch got a 10 minute warning, we didn’t and after all this was handed the bill with a service charge included!

Oh also if your on a diet I’d highly recommend the vegan option which consists of 2 carrots and 2 slices of pepper
