To have taught and applied bunkai in only one lesson this week would have not only been a crime but it would have simply not have quenched my thirst or "scratched that itch" as the saying goes.
Not a huge turnout at our consett dojo tonight but enthusiasm and effort can make up for so much more.

This morning was my absolute pleasure to put this wonderful lady "liz lawson" through her paces.
Having retired from full training in karate 2 years ago at 75 this irrepressible young lady still continues to amaze me. Not to mention still nags me for a private lesson at the now tender age of 77.
... The mental/memory side of karate is still so important to liz. So we worked upon basic forms and combinations. Then on to 5 heian katas, tekki shodan, bassai dai, hangetsu and finally kata jion
She still continues to thank me for everything I and skk have done for her. And I never forget to remind her on what she has done for karate and skk.

Tremendous turnout tonight!!
Working hard on those katas with the help of our dan grades.
Two energy zapping drills at the end of the session.... Working on closing the gap the during a attack with take down. With two people attacking everyone did extremely well with this continous pressured drill.
Then a little ground work with our non stop punching, flip and switch drill.
Great enthusiasm from you all.

Focus and attention was kata in our kids class tonight. With some of you only training the one class, its essential you practice more outside of class.
Consett class was the most solid 3k performance I've seen in a good while. Some very impressive kumite at the end from everyone.... So credit where credit is due 👏
