Went to Ford fair yesterday

Can't fault the experience at all

Food n drink well priced but it is at any show or event you go to regardless of where etc.

Place was clean & tidy & plenty of marshals & security about what's always good

All in all a great day.

Shame I'll miss next year but all for good reason as

I'm getting married in sunny Zante 👌🏻

This was my second British F1 GP, the previous visit in 2017 was for only for Race Day.

This year we camped at Woodlands, it was superb and exceeded expectations. The set up of the campsite was great, everything was close to hand, the shower and toilet blocks were well maintenance and looked after given the amount of people that used them. The fans village on the campsite was very popular with lots of entertainment throughout the evening and night; the Silent Disco was superb, a great concept.

The actual race circuit was as good as ever, Thursday and Friday was busy but still quiet enough to wander around without the big crowds that appear at the weekend. We got close enough to watch the practice sessions on the Friday and enjoy the entertainment in the Fanzone in the evening of which there was plenty.

The Saturday and Sunday were much busier as expected and the queues were bigger for everything as is the normal.

The negatives of Silverstone are:

1. The price of everything inside the circuit. As we were camping we took everything with us and only bought a couple of things to eat inside the circuit, we certainly didn't buy any beers or soft drinks in the circuit and the high prices that are charged; the food was equally high but we couldn't carry hot food around with us.

2. The crowds at the after race party in the fan zone. Naturally there would be a lot of fans there but some of them were disgraceful and had no thought for others when Lewis Hamilton came to the front to sign memorabilia and have photos with the fans. Instead they charged forward and almost crushed little children that were at the front, we struggled to keep people back from potentially crushing others - this is something that Silverstone MUST look at before something far worse happens.

Overall it was a great weekend, my biggest critiscm is the way the fans are when it comes to getting signatures and selfies, some have absolutely no consideration for others; I will be contacting Silverstone directly about this.

My first F1 GP. Used the park and ride from Hinton Airfield, Easy directions, no fuss or hassle with the buses, 20 minute drive to track. Big queues to get in which you would expect with the security measures which was no big deal really. Food and drink was readily available and not as expensive as I thought it would be. Toileting facilities were more than adequate and a lot of them. I had general admission ticket so viewed from several places all of which were great. My only gripe was why do people with seats have to always stand up, thus blocking the view of the people behind, muppets!! I was stood on Luffield, so right next to the main entrance, ten minutes after the race I was back on the bus heading for the parking, I was always lead to believe that you'd still be trying to get out at ten pm, well not in my experience. Would I do it again? probably, but I would get a grandstand ticket.

User

My First time at the Classic and thoroughly enjoyed it. Watching classics race was delightful and having access to any stand meant you were able to watch the races at all different locations which helped keep the younger people more engaged. Beverage prices were similar to the high street brands. The programme was packed and all the exhibitors were friendly. Well done and I look forward to next years Classic.

User

It, s awesome, fabulous, terrific I could go on.

User

I am sick of all the bad comments on here about silverstone, pricing, experience etc. It was my 13th year in a row and this place gets better every year. Toilets where clean for once, security and police were brill, the amount of entertainment you get is out of this world with something on for all fans big and small. Yes the prices have gone up for next year but for a bloody good reason! At then end of the day you get what you pay for! There's always finance to spread the cost aswell. Iv done pit straights, club corner this year, brackets club, luffield , woodcot, cops, village and general. every year is a different experience and you really get what you pay for! love this place so much I changed my wedding date twice last year so we wouldn't miss the British f1. The most ironic part of that is our first year weeding anniversary landed on race day so incredibly happy and have to give it to silverstone thank you for an anniversary I will never forget. We will be there next year!!!!!!!

User

Great experience for any race fan

Camping is ok..... be prepared for inflated prices but you watching F1

User

Amazing place!!to driving experience!

User

Absolutely fantastic place! First time attending and unfortunately didn't get to watch the actual race due to being put in the back of an ambulance at 12pm! Couldn't fault any of the St. John team though! And we have booked to attend again next year to finally enjoy the race! Definitely worth a visit!

User

*THE* best Motorsport event of the year for all racing fans, the atmosphere, the cars, the access to the cars, it's perfect! It just gets better and better each year.

User

The show and what they have on was amazing and really can't fault it. The problem I had was with lively camping. Yes I expected load music going into the night but not "alun shouts or the air horns" in the ground when seating in the field so many people kept standing and that would start a chain of people standing. If everyone just sat down you could of seen everything. The little things can be the worst and makes you think is it just easier to watch it from home. So if I was going next time I would not book lively and book to sit in the stands :-)

User

Silverstone Classic was absolutely fantastic ! Best day out I have had in a while . Thank you Silverstone !

As for Ford Fair great day again , just a real shame about the queuing . Really need to open the another entrance . It's the same every year it's the queuing which lets the show down .

We have had to push a classic in before now where it has over heated in the queue 😪

User

Great venue... but NOT enough toilets for men or woman at Stowe. Both were queueing for nearly 25-30 minutes. Not good enough for the amount you pay for a seat here! There seemed to be loads of loos on the way to this area but not being used! Move them to Stowe!

User

Great day as usual, Silverstone put on a great event, shame after paying for parking on the PayByPhone app Sunday morning, I returned Sunday afternoon to find a parking fine attached to the car windscreen, not the end to the day I was wanting! Looking forward to dealing with that!

User

Cannot but praise Silverstone for the traffic management of this year's GP. Don't know what it was like elsewhere but coming out of the circuit main entrance was easy, the traffic kept flowing and was at Junction 14 of the M1 where we parked up to all come in one car, within 45 mins of getting into the car.

Really, really impressed.

Event as a whole seemed well run.

Shame F1 cars seem emasculated compared to their wailing predecessors - it makes them seem slower, even though they aren't, but that's not Silverstone's fault.

Hope circuit gets to renegotiate the GP terms and keep the race - it deserves to..

User

It was a good day but very expensive to get in for what was essentially a car owner meet with expensive burger bars. £25 to go to a huge car park is doubly way too much. Shame that.

User

In first please change courier APC they are working in hours that most people are in work 9-17 and I can only collect from depot drive on Saturday which work in small window time and is 1hr drive! As for other stuff please give information on tickets last time on F1 we was going from Park and Ride and we was there about 1 and half hour before race and there was no bus so we needed to go to nearest Silverstone private parking and pay extra, if there was any info about this we would just go straight to private parking's

User

Grand Prix was good but the format was all messed up this year you used to have gp3 f2 and f1 on the same day either quail or race, but now we have the 2 seater f1 car taking all that time up, more money for the corporates, sort it out for next year please

User

Yesterday I booked tickets for the Motogp. I was charged a £10 admin fee, on top of the £200 for 3 adults and a parking fee. What’s really annoyed me is that today I’ve seen I’ve been charged over £10 for the 10 minute phone call I made sorting the tickets. What a total con, this will be my last visit to Silverstone.
