Here's the oak leaf and acorn Diamond Engagement ring that I made last week for Layla. The 2mm Diamond is a beautiful G.vs grade and It's made in 9ct white gold at £575. Similar rings in silver from £185 depending upon the gemstone. Leeds Corn Exchange

Then last but not least, here are the Wedding rings that I made for Caroline and John, whose wedding was on Friday. Each are made with 18ct white and rose golds. The white gold is an unusual dark grey, Platinum type alloy. John's ring is rugged, Caroline's has a subtle banding of white and rose golds, with Diamonds flush set in a flowing arrangement. The cenrtal Diamond is from her Grandmother's Wedding ring Leeds Corn Exchange

An Iolite gemstone, with a mysterious inky indigo colour, in a raised domed setting on a simple hammered band Leeds Corn Exchange

Leaves also are the simplest of motifs, and beautiful. Here is a large silver Ginkgo leaf ring with its stem curling around a twiggy band Leeds Corn Exchange

Then here is an unusual set of silver spiral jewellery, that I made as a bithday gift for my customer's daughter. Little stud earings, and the pendant are set with Rubies. Spirals are the simplest design, timeless. These ones have an organic feel. There are lots of ideas bubbling away for making a collection of designs.. Leeds Corn Exchange

For Kailing's wedding last weekend, I also made a silver Ivy leaves pendant with an Opal dew drop, that her husband to be, Joshka, brought back from Germany for her Leeds Corn Exchange

The cool fresh air, brought by the overnight rain is wonderful. Here are several of the projects from the last few days... Kailing's Wedding ring is upcycled from her Fiance's Grand Father's ring, which I overlaid with silver. Joshka's ring is the mirror image of Kailing's, with gold overlaying the silver. Here's the nature inspired gold ring that I've made for my lovely customer Janine, and which I showed, in the making, last week. Her Granny's jewellery box was raided for some gems, to which I added a sprinkling of little white Sapphires, 9ct white and rose golds Leeds Corn Exchange

This black stone was brought back by my customer from a far away land, for me to set in a silver Erosion bracelet for her love. The bracelet is an organic form which I have oxidised and partially polished,with tapering sides and little spiral terminals, signifying strength and gentleness. Leeds Corn Exchange

A jewellery fest this week, with lots of projects made over the last few days, and also being made this week. First, a very special ring and bracelet for a couple, whose love has grown, while thousands of miles across land and sea have seperated them. And now they are together. The silver Entwining Vine ring is a 3mm oval band with engraved leaves curling around it, and with a discreet 2mm Diamond bud. The ring is £295. Leeds Corn Exchange

Pictures from my workbench, of rings in progress this week: First, here's another picture of the oak leaves and Dove ring from yesterday, showing it's naturally curving form, covered in oxide and flux from my having soldered about 100 joints, before the acid cleaning and final polishing. It looks to me like unearthed medieval treasure.
Also, here's an image of a ring that I'm now making for Janine this week. It's a birthday gift that will be incorporating some gemstones from... her Mum's jewellery, along with a scattering of new tiny white Sapphires. It's a glimpse of my creative process, and shows the template that I designed, glued to the white gold base, which guides me shaping the rose gold decoration. The next step tomorrow is to burn the paper off, and then fuse the rose gold to the white gold base. I carefully melt the two metals together, with a fluid called flux painted over everything, to encourage the flow of liquid metal when I apply heat. Then I engrave the leaves, form the strip into a ring, saw, file, sand and polish the ring to reveal its fine details Then more than a little work to set 20 gemstones... Leeds Corn Exchange

And for Jenny, this Ocean ring is making it's way upto Newcastle tonight. A gold half Eternity ring, curved to sit beside a large single gemstone ring. Lots of little Emeralds, Green Sapphires and Peridots from 1.25mm - 1.75mm are scattered round the front half of the ring like beads of light upon the summer sea. Rings for more birthday girls this week. Here's a silver Pebble ring for Tracey, with a lovely combination of gem colours. A 4mm Tanzanite, 3.25mm London Blue Topaz, and a teeny weeny 2mm Amethyst., each flush set into polished silver pebbles. The band is a 3mm hammered oval, which is comfy profile wear.
