Zoopla have released their latest house price report with Leeds being ahead of most other UK cities on price growth and now with an average house price of £164,500:
UK city house price inflation +2.9% - city level range +6% in Leicester to -1.6% in Aberdeen.
Leeds has an average price of £164,500 and YOY growth in house prices of 3.1%. Sheffield has a 4% growth. Nottingham 4.6% growth.
... The annual rate of growth continues to moderate – 13 cities with lower price growth than a year ago.
Comparison of time to sell and discounts to asking price reveals the relative strength of city housing markets. Twelve cities have relatively strong market fundamentals.
Also worth noting that whilst the UK as a whole is performing well, London and the South East are struggling. This is having the effect of creating the impression of a UK wide slowdown. But in practical northern, Midlands and Scottish cities are performing well.
