The engineers have inspected the lift and unfortunately there are substantial further works required before it can be returned to operation due to flood damage.
We are doing all we can to expedite this and thank you for your patience.

Further update following the floods
Thankfully there were no adverse effects felt at Simpsons Fold following yesterday's rain.
Unfortunately though, following a detailed inspection by the Otis engineers, the main passenger lift for flats 15 to 35 could not be restored to operation yesterday.
... The engineers suspect that the lifts electrics may have been exposed to water last week and as a result require that the area is given full opportunity to dry out before they return to carry out a comprehensive inspection and service of the lift. They will be returning on Monday (4th) to do this and in the mean time we have a dehumidifier in place.
We appreciate your patience with this and trust that you all understand that your safety is very important to us.

Flood update for the residents
We hope that everyone is okay following the recent flooding in and around Leeds.
All water and silt has now been cleared from the lower level of the parking area and the car lift is fully operational.
... The large passenger lift serving flats 15 to 35 was supposed to be reset yesterday but unfortunately the engineers were unavailable. The engineers will be on site today so this should be back on line by this afternoon at the latest.
A dehumidifier is in place to dry out the bottom stairs to enable us to disinfect and arrange redecoration.
Finally, we have arranged for all drains around the property to be professionally cleared to stand us in good stead for the (thankfully milder) rain forecast for later today.
Paul is also on-site and working his usual hours. Please note that these will be increased to 8am to 1pm from next week.
Due to the poor signal in parts of Simpsons Fold we understand that there have been issues getting through to Paul on his mobile. This is as Paul is based from the ground floor as opposed to Willie being based out of his 2nd floor flat. We have arranged for a wifi connection for Paul to be set up in the new year which should improve his access to communications from the ground floor. In the meantime, if you are unable to contact Paul on his mobile (07811 473 675) you can call 01138800248 to leave a message which will be sent to both Paul and the management company. We have ordered a pump which will be installed to take the water out of the parking area and ground floor. We also have dehumidifiers on order for tomorrow once the water has been pumped out. We hope everyone is okay

The car lift is being serviced this Thursday, 12 February. As such it will be out of action between 9.30 and 10.30 am.
