4 years ago today Sinead was under the knife having her major operation at The Christie in Manchester. Sinead spent the run up to the surgery having her first round of chemotherapy and pre operation appointments. While trying to remain positive in the run up to a terrifying operation Sinead being Sinead asked the surgeon if they could give her a body like Beyoncé when she came out. 😂 She even made light of having to have a full blood transfusion the night before as she forgot... to tell the Doctors she had anemia🙈😂 So why does Sinead’s Cancer Care support The Christie Hospital? The Christie is a national cancer specialist based in Manchester who offer diagnoses, chemotherapy and radio therapy. The Christie has the facilities to preform highly specialist and complex cancer surgeries like Sinead’s. But for Sinead and the family The Christie did so much more: they offered a full bedroom for family and friends to stay overnight during Sinead’s stay, they looked after Sinead physically and mentally, offered support throughout the whole process and gave everyone hope. By supporting SCC you support The Christie where donations are used in treatment research, improve facilities and continue to support and care for patients and family members.
We thank The Christie everyday for everything they gave Sinead, without her surgery and care from The Christie Sinead’s quality of life after diagnosis would have been very different. Thank you for the time you gave us with our brave Sinead 💙💙💙

It’s World Mental Health Day and we would like to thank our amazing beneficiary charities. Not only did they help Sinead physically but mentally. They helped her come to terms with her diagnosis, gave her life experiences, advice, support and most importantly helped her to live through her diagnosis. They picked her up when she was down and showed her that she wasn’t alone. If it wasn’t for every single charities continued work Sinead would not have remained the positive and bubbly person we remember her as. Not only did every single charity help her in some way they still support our families mental health. #WorldMentalHealthDay
