We had a Prosecco lunch for two to celebrate my 50th Birthday and ended staying all afternoon. Fran was a superb host a real credit to the place. So attentive and helpful. And made my day even more special, even added a sparkler to my cocktail. Would highly recommend. Groupon deal is a no brainier.

User

We came tonight, first time visit for me we were greeted by our amazing friendly waiter CAIRO he looked after us all night ,nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return and request CAIRO to look after us again also looking to book the luscious afternoon tea, can’t wait . Fantastic service can highly recommend !!

User

Just had a fabulous afternoon tea there today. Three generations of ladies (!) enjoyed everything, the food, the bubbly, the view and the incredibly helpful lady who was serving us. Thank you

User

Enjoyed afternoon tea yesterday afternoon with my son. Made a change from being served on a 3 tier plate stand to a box stand with a section for each item. Nice touch. Sandwiches and cakes were lovely and so was the Prosecco. Service was good and the server was very pleasant and attentive plus the view was lovely with a cool breeze. Loved every minute.

User

Beautiful views on a sunny day, very well mannered staff who attended to our every needs. Afternoon tea was reasonably priced for what we got. All in all a lovely afternoon out for a very busy working couple. Highly recommended.

User

Went with my husband for sparkling afternoon tea for 2 on a groupon for £29. We have been quite a few times before for drinks so knew what to expect. The place was quite busy, we got a lovey seat by the window looking out at the skyline. Our waiter was lovely, polite and professional explaining all the items on the menu. Afternoon tea was lovely and tasty. Nice choice of small bite sandwiches and the cakes were gorgeous as were the scones with Jam and cream. We had s choice of tea or coffee, we had tea. Very relaxed not rushed. When we had finished we asked for our prosecco which again was lovely. My husband ordered a fruit cider at the same time as they brought the prosecco as I was drinking the prosecco. The waiter forgot to bring his cider, when we asked where it was he was very apologetic and brought it over free of charge which was a lovely gesture.

We left a tip x We would highly recommend the afternoon tea, it was a lovely relaxing way to while away a few hours.

User

Due to booking online it was not clear when we arrived whether we wanted dinner or just drinks. However, after a few minutes we were moved to a table by the window and received excellent service for the whole evening. As it was Valentine's Day and there was a set Valentine's Day menu (which was superb!) then it would have been nice to have had some candles on the tables.

User

Always go to Sky Lounge for afternoon tea and Prosecco for my Birthday and I must say this year I was very disappointed to say the least due to the 2nd class service and the amount of food in particular the sandwiches compared to last year! I will definitely not be going back next Birthday

User

The service was fair enough but at 10pm on a Saturday it wasn’t particularly busy. It’s worth a trip up there for the views if nothing else, brilliant ! The drinks are a little salty price wise but what the hell, you can’t take it with you ! Been twice now, will no doubt go up again when we’re next in Leeds.

User

Tasty afternoon tea, however service wasn’t great, got given coffee instead of tea that I ordered, then had to ask for sugar, had to go and ask for my prossecco, service just lacks attention to detail, lots of staff and wasn’t busy no idea what they were doing!!

User

Really enjoyed our afternoon tea although I was disappointed that I had to go to the ground floor of a 13 flood building to use baby changing facilities. The door to the disabled toilet didn’t lock so I couldn’t use the toilet myself and who thought it was a good idea to put spot lights directly above where I baby is laid.

User

Nothing special apart from the views. Four of us arrived for a drink, ordered 3 cocktails and an Irish coffee. The cocktails were average at best, the bar staff seemed uninterested in customers and then a young lady appeared from nowhere to place a reserved card on our table, stating that we would have to move in 30 minutes. There are many friendlier bars in Leeds which we will revisit.

User

Not sure why but the service is always slow and staff not at all friendly ? ...it was 8.30pm and the music was far too loud . More like a club now we couldn't even have a conversation !

User

I paid just short of £21 for two cocktails. Which I wouldn't have minded if they were actually decent. The long Island Ice tea was coke with added sugar and the Mojito tasted as if it was a mocktail. I was excited for my first experience of the sky lounge but I've left feeling disappointed and won't be back.

User

We weren't welcomed in at the sky bar yesterday .The bar lady was very sharp with us when we got there at 1130 , "I can't serve you ,sit down and I will come over at 12 . We approached the windows seats you can't sit down if there are cups and saucers on the tables , oh ok . We promptly turn around and approach another table , err not there either that a lunch reservation . She never even looked up when we promptly got up and left , a shame really as we were looking forward to trying the new menu . Manners cost nothing . Very disappointed . We went to the alchemist instead and they were fantastic.

User

Very poor service. Went for afternoon tea for 4. We were placed on a table of 8 and just forgotten about. Half an hour of sitting, flagged someone over to get us some drinks. We than waited another half an hour, again had to flag someone over informing them that our food had not arrived.

Food arrived, as staff placed the boxed stand on our table....the scones fell out onto the table. Staff simple walked off.

No offer for any drinks, no waiting service. No tea and coffee offered....even though it was afternoon tea.

Simply left unattended. Had to walk to head off house to request our bill and enquire whether tea or coffee is even included. Received our tea and coffee while we waited for our bill. Got the bill, and again waited half an hour for someone to take payment.... in the end walked over to the paying desk.

Told the manger that I was not paying for service which was included on the bill, explained the whole experience.

Manger response was very poor!! Simply stated that it was a cocktail bar and that they don't provide tea as an automatic.

Would not recommend.

User

This is the second time that we have booked for a large party to have afternoon tea, and it is the second time that we have been disappointed. The table was prebooked and a deposit was made. When we arrived, the table wasn't set and it took a while for us to get any drinks. Apparently they don't do decaf coffee (I find this very hard to believe), so as a pregnant person, I felt that I had paid out a lot of money for finger food and glasses of water. The waiter claimed that he didn't know that we were booked in for the unlimited prosecco, that's why the people who were having this option were only given one glass. Someone from the party had to go and chase this up after a good half an hour. The food was average. When the bill came, they did not take into account that we had already paid a deposit. This is not a service that I expect for the price and company, and certainly not one that I would have to encounter twice. We will be taking our business elsewhere in future.

User

Luxurious setting with a great view however afternoon tea fell short. After we were seated we were offered prosecco and a hot drink which was lovely but then waited a long time for food. Because I am cows milk intolerant (which was advised on the booking, weeks previous) I was given 6 fingers sandwiches, 4 of which were fish which I found quite odd, all on dry bread. No cakes, scones, sweet treats instead I got a bowl of diced apple and pineapple and a 4 strawberries. Not what I had in mind when coming for afternoon tea! Had someone come to check on us I would have said how dissatisfied I was however I had taken my grandma for a treat and did not want to make a fuss. It wasn't particularly busy but we did not have contact with the waitress again, I'm not even sure she noticed us leave. Very disappointed, would certainly not recommend for afternoon tea!

User

Booked a table for Saturday 29th June for friends that were visiting from Scotland. Once seated we sat for about 20 mins before I had to ask someone to take our drinks order. Tables were being served around us but I could get so much as a glance by any of the staff. After 10 mins waiting for our drinks I had to chase our order up. We only stayed for one drink as we didn’t want to wait for the next set of drinks. Also there was little to no toilet roll in the ladies toilets. Very disappointed with the service. And quite embarrassed that my friends had to experience this. I don’t think I will ever visit the sky lounge again!!!!
