What a beautiful, crisp Winter day today. The sun is shining and I am watching more than 50% of the drivers on the very busy road outside driving into the sun squinting their eyes against the glare and trying to see through and around their sun visors. Sunglasses aren't just for Summer.....

One of the best parts of our day is helping our patients choose new glasses. We never mind how long it takes or how many pairs you try on - glasses are a significant purchase and it's important to get them right. It's that time of year....we've all tucked into turkey and munched on mince pies and now we're all thinking we need to get off the sofa and get fit for the New Year....sound familiar?!
The good news is that regular exercise isn't just a healthy lifestyle choice with numerous benefits to our general health, it can help our eyes stay healthy too! Exercise keeps us and our hearts fit and controls our weight which improves control of high blood pressure or diabetes. All this contributes to better eye health and reduces the risk of problems with the veins inside our eyes and age-related macular degeneration. Another fine reason to get off the sofa this January!

My first visit to Souten and Agyeman. What a lovely warm welcome I received. after a difficult year with opticians it was wonderful to have a thorough testing with a straightforward and honest diagnosis.
