Yesterday was our mums funeral and we arranged to have the wake at The Spotted Cow and I’m so pleased we did. The food was fantastic, everyone was impressed by the quality and quantity and it was very reasonably priced. Every member of staff without exception worked their socks off and provided great, courteous service. Thank you so much. Would highly recommend.

We visited the spotted cow last week for the first time and we’ve been back twice already! The food is amazing and The waitress Olivia is so helpful!

User

We made our return visit on Sunday for Steak Pie which has quickly become a family favourite. The staff are very welcoming & attentive even when very busy and the food delicious with big hearty portions.

We’ll be back soon to see Olivia, try the new menu she recommended and bring Stevie & Rachael Ward back to enjoy a lovely family meal together again.

User

We gave it a try 3 weeks ago on a busy Sunday. We were given a warm welcome and they accommodated us. The Sunday lunch was lovely, proper home cooked food and the veg served soft and not al dente like snobby chefs say it should be. We have been back twice already. The home made steak in Guinness pie is delicious and the best pie my husband as had for a long time....our Grandson gave it the thumbs up as well when we took him last week

User

Just had another brilliant dinner at spotted cow.always friendly staff lovely food would recommend this place to anyone.

User

Just called in as we was passing on way home from Leeds the food was very nice all homemade and the place was clean and tidy but the real star was the waitress Olivia she is the most welcoming person we have ever met and a credit to the bar

User

I would recommend to all but those with active children as there is no play area. Grown up children wishing to try the Gin menu, or their food menu would be more than happy with the excellently manicured culinary offerings or the extensive selection of Gins. Leave space for the pudding, as the guy in the kitchen does a cheesecake to die for and the helpings really do need to be shoe-horned in if you go for a full three course delight. We will be back.

User

I attended the festival for the first time with my drinking buddies the selection of beers and gins were superb the staff were wonderful and very helpful thanks to one and all for a great day

User

Had a meal last night me, hubby and our two girls. The food was amazing, service was amazing will definitely be going again. One of the best pub foods we have been to

User

Had a lovely meal this evening.. everything was fab.. and those homemade chips will definately be returning!!

User

Great service, lovely food - the mixed grill was HUGE!

I would recommend you check service times before just dropping in though (we arrived at about 7 on a Thursday and they were nice enough to squeeze us in before closing).

User

Great pub. Friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly. Staff welcoming.

User

Came here for dinner, great home cooked food and cheery service

User

Amazing food and really nice staff

User

Absolutely spot on food and what REALLY made the visit was Olivia. One hell of an ambassador for the Pub and a breath of fresh air from staff in other pubs. Nothing too much trouble and extremely welcoming, I'm sure your mum is extremely proud (most of the time!).

User

15 people enjoying the banter, food and friends, oh and the odd glass of gin.

Inexpensive dinner, catering for gluten free with no stress... good pub good, we will be back.

User

Nice pub friendly staff good feel to the place
