Proud to be a member of Stalybridge Labour Club. Love the place, love the people--am absolutely teetotal but lovely to enjoy a chilled coca cola or pepsi among friends and colleagues.

I was Dj for a christening party yesterday. My first time playing this venue. I found the staff pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and well presented. I would recommend it for up to 100 guests. Coke £2 a pint is cheaper than many venues I play.

User

Had my 40th birthday party in the newly refurbished room. The room looked great plenty of room for my 120ish guests to sit and more importantly to dance. Facilities modern and clean and enough bar staff so there were never big queues at the bar. Great venue.

User

Great night out well worth a try will be calling again

User

Absolutely amazing party. We were promised amazing food and that's exactly what we got today. It was a joint communion and there was more than enough food for everyone. Cant thank you enough. What a truly fantastic day. Thank you so much Tina and everyone who helped. You made it a memorable day x

User

User

It's decent here, us Roughyeds have adopted it as our home before games. Decent beer cheap too, staff all friendly

User

Attended my partner's daughters wedding here was a brill night good atmosphere bar staff friendly would definitely recommend. Room was clean toilets clean and very reasonably priced drinks.

User

Well spent a few hours here listening to the bands on Whit Friday.

Not Enough Staff

Not Enough Beer

Won't be going back and will find somewhere different for next year..

User

The place has been decorated nicely and a good size room. However, poor attitude from the member of staff there, even to a point of making us feel uncomfortable for even being there! I paid £60 to hire the room for a 2 hour children's party that required no assistance from them. Very disappointing.

User

Lovely afternoon celebrating Sarah's birthday, the staff were very pleasant and all smiling, the refurbishment looks fantastic but .. The lack of disabled toilets lets this venue down.

User

To be fair, they dont deserve even 1 star. Booked my Dads funeral wake a week and a half ago and 3 days before the funeral, still no buffet confirmation etc, despite numerous calls with no answer! We turned up at 12pm for an appointment to discuss the wake however nobody there to meet us. Disgusting service, at such a difficult time. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS FOR ANY EVENTS! Absolutely diabolical! Steer clear! We have now booked elsewhere, with such short notice, due to the labour clubs incompetence and recieved a fabulous service.

User

If you are going to take the proffits from large beer sales due to such things as yesterdays Brass Band competition at least arrange for enough staff to cope with the numbers, yesterday was very poor !

User

If there was an option for zero stars thats what this place would get!

I will honestly never host another party at this venue, luckily the party I went to last night was not my own. The attitude of a couple of members of staff was disgusting, even to the point one of them swore at a number of punters.

Under new management I believe as the last time we were here all the staff were amazing. I will avoid this place like the plague!!!

Also to have the party girl in tears as so many people were complaining, was totally unprofessional.

Gruel is crap.

Best avoided.
