We are currently experiencing some difficulties with our messages, Facebook tells us there are messenger messages but doesn't always show them when we open it, we also have messages that come through into the 'inbox' on Facebook but it won't always show us those either. This is why there is sometimes a delay and why it says our response time is 6 days. Usually we are much quicker than that üòä Thanks for your patience!!

URGENT APPEAL!
Star Bereavement Support Service is faced with the devastating reality that the charity may have to close within a matter of weeks, due to a severe lack of funds and is launching an urgent appeal to raise funds, it costs £3,000 a month to run the charity. Claire, Service Coordinator with Star says, “This unfortunate situation now puts into jeopardy the support we are providing for our existing caseload of 22 children and their families and there are a further 1...8 waiting to be assessed, before their support can begin. We are also receiving between 5 and 10 calls a week from often desperate children and families, all of which is a major concern for us” Helen, Bereavement Support Practitioner says ”Although Children in Need generously sponsored my post with Star for 3 years, I am aware the charity has many other items of expenditure such as rent, rates and utilities, to pay for” With all of this in mind we are making an urgent appeal for donations of any amount, which will help towards saving our charity from closure. Star Bereavement is absolutely amazing

My girls lost there dad over 2 years ago, Claire and Helen where absolutely fantastic, talking wasn’t rushed, the girls could be open or just listen,,, activities were helpful and really thoughtful. We no longer attend weekly meetings but I can highly recommend. anyone who feels like they have no where to turn, you will always be made to feel welcome. Thank you guys you do an amazing job �

Fantastic team. Supported my son and I through the most difficult time. The support has continued and I can approach team with any concerns. Lots of books, games, toys helped a lot. I'll never forget how much they supported us means so much. X
