2018 looked a bit like this -... 🌵 I photographed 30 amazing weddings, 5 engagement sessions and 4 commercial sessions 🌵 MY FIRST EVER DESTINATION WEDDING! 🌵 4 holidays - Malta, Portugal, Portugal again and then Budapest 🌵 We adopted Georgia the feral kitten - who's now a fully fledged domestic cat 😍 🌵 We partied at Creamfields! 🌵 We went to see Michael McIntyre, Sarah Millican, Dave Gorman, The £100K Drop and Jason Derulo

The time between Christmas and New Year when nobody has a bloody clue what day it is and you're still pulling left overs out of the fridge..
I'm not quite sure whether I'm supposed to be working or chilling?!

I'm so pleased to be a recommended supplier at the lovely Thoresby Weddings! This industrial barn venue is well worth a look if you live around the Nottinghamshire area and are still on the hunt for your perfect venue! 😍

Very often we go away, take photos and then never do anything with them. I'm guilty of this far too often and need my hand slapping!
Back in November we took our first trip to Budapest. Despite being FREEZING, it was great and we wouldn't hesitate to go again!
So here's my "I need to do something with my images" post :D

It's Christmas eve! The cats are helping with any last minute festive touches...

A huge majority of my couples have said to me at some point, whether it's before booking, or on their wedding day, that they're nervous about having their photo taken.. especially during the couple portraits!
I'm here to reassure you that everything will be absolutely fine and won't even know why you were stressing! (I'm sure my past couples can back me up on this 😉)
Anyway, I've written a little blog about it and the steps you can take to make sure you make the most of the time we have! 😀

I spent yesterday afternoon up at Swinton Estate with Sharon and Chris. They decided to elope with just their 5 closest family members! How sweet!

Wow Wow Wow!!! Thank you so much to Stevie for our fantastic wedding pictures we are absolutely in love with them. We have just received our gallery today from our wedding 3 weeks ago, hundreds of amazing pictures to look through. Only started to look through and already crying with laughter and have tears in our eyes as they are a amazing and take us right back to our special day. We picked Stevie to photograph our engagement shoot and wedding and really could not have picked a better photographer. Stevie made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and delivered a fantastic bunch of photos quicker than we expected. Would absolutely recommend Stevie for your wedding without any hesitation, we picked the package with the second photographer and was able to get some great shots all day with both ladies snapping away.

Even tho stevie has a quiet and reserved personality she captured some great shots that we didn't even realise were being taken, and is not intrusive on the day, but is on hand if u need her.

Stevie was happy to do some formal group photos and nothing was too much trouble, but also If your after some informal/ relaxed style wedding photos that capture real moments then stevie is the girl.

I was also impressed with how quickly we got our photos back and presented on a lovely wooden carved USB stick

Stevie Jay was fantastic when she photographed our wedding in April 2018. From the first time we contacted her she was responsive and helpful, and flexible too. We wanted to make a couple of little changes to our package like not having bridal prep included, this wasnt a problem and Stevie met us at the venue as we wanted. Stevie is a truly talented lady, our photographs are stunning and she is sneaky too....getting photos when nobody is looking but these produced the most precious shots. David and myself are not really ones for being centre of attention or in front of the camera, but you made us feel so relaxed and the photos are fab. My wife and I decided to hire Stevie after looking long and hard for photographers in the area. The reason we went with her is that the pictures in her portfolio seemed to be able to capture the atmosphere and mood of a day as well as the standard staged photos.

Communication was great in the run-up to the wedding despite me and my wife being on the other side of the world. Even though Stevie had a hip injury when she came to the wedding, warning us that she may not be as mobile as she'd like, she brought her secondary photographer to help out without charging extra - a testament to her professionalism.

I'm happy to say that Stevie lived up to everything we could have hoped for. Looking over the photographs this morning and seeing the laughter, tears, and pride she captured, I was transported back to the day itself. Your wedding day goes in a flash, but with photos like these, you can go back whenever you like.

I met Stevie at a wedding fayre and instantly knew she was the photographer for me! Her stall was a vintage/rustic theme which matched my wedding theme! Stevie has kept in touch and updated me throughout the process via email and Facebook, fantastic communication.
