ABB AF Contactors chosen for HM Prisons Project
This week we are assembling a further order for a batch of 45A single phase Automatic Transfer switches for fire prevention systems for HM Prisons. These are single phase units and are part of an ongoing project which will continue throughout next year. This order is a follow up from 2107 and is part of an ongoing improvement to UK Prisons. ABB contactors were chosen for this application due to their reliability and ruggedness .

ABB GEMINI IP66 MODULAR ENCLOSURE IS AN IDEAL HOUSING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF AN ABB OT250E04 250A 4POLE BY-PASS SWITCH
We are completing an urgent order for a generator supplier which requires the supply of an enclosed bypass switch (pictured) coupled to another hook up enclosure with powerlock plug in connectors with separate plugin inlet sockets. The enclosure was chosen for its high IP66 rating and highest level of mechanical protection against impacts.

ELSTEEL TECHNO MODULE PROVIDES SOLUTION TO RETROFIT PROJECT IN DONCASTER SHOPPING CENTRE We have recently undertaken the installation of an ABB 630A MCCB complete with associated Rayleigh earth leakage relay. Due to the limited space available an Elsteel modular enclosure was installed onto the front of the existing panel.

We are currently assembling a compact LV distribution board including 12 of the new MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) certified DIN 96 panel mounted easywire energy meter. This meter is fully programmable via auto or manual page scroll and easy to wire using plug-in technology. The meter is MID approved for Billing applications.

We are currently manufacturing a 100amp 3phase ATS panel complete with manual Maintenance bypass facility. This a an innovative system incorporating ABB components engineered in house by James Moss our Engineering Director along with Cad drawings by Jess Bentley.

ABB SACE Emax 2 AIR CIRCUIT BREAKER INCOPORATED IN SWITCHBOARD FOR UK BASED FOOD PRODUCER We have recently manufactured a switchboard incorporating an E4.2 3200amp Air circuit breaker which is designed to withstand high currents with a withstand rating of 100Ka for 1 second without the need for particular precautions. In this instance a withdrawable version was chosen for easy maintenance as per pictures below.

ABB OT series changeover switches for Humber Docks
We have this week provided 3 No. 630A 4 pole manual changeover switches via a national electrical wholesaler for installation on the banks of the river Humber river in the UK. These were produced within 2 days to meet the end customer’s urgent requirement.
We were able to offer a quick turnaround due to our stockholding of ABB components including the... OT range of changeover switches and SRN series of steel enclosures.

DORMAN SMITH MODIS 25 MODULAR DISTRIBUTION BOARD PROVES ITS FLEXIBILITY IN FOOD PROCESSING FACTORY We have at short notice engineered and supplied an extension module to an existing Dorman Smith Modis 25 Board at a large food processing plant in Norfolk. This included fitting a 630A Moulded case circuit breaker with associated busbar connections. This has been delivered and installed in time for a short shutdown period and was carried out well within the 8 hour period.

SCHNEIDER NSX SERIES MCCB’S LINKED TO CASTELL FS SERIES INTERLOCKS IN LOCAL HOSPITAL TRUST PROJECT We are presently building a new Mains Switchboard with additional Busbar riser tap off boxes to an existing essential services riser system for a local NHS Trust in Sheffield. Our Innovative retrofit product has enabled the trust to retain the original riser system and keep refurbishment costs down for the total project budget. This in addition to the original 2 switchboards supplied and commissioned by us in recent years. This is just one of several projects that we are currently working on for local NHS Trusts.

Modifications to Dorman Smith Modis 25 undertaken at University
We are carrying out modifications to the panel board that we installed some years ago at the University of Leeds Art and Design college.This includes the installation of a Loadline YA6H3P630E Moulded case circuit breaker and ancillary equipment.
