We went to see the dinosaurs yesterday, it was brilliant. My son loved the small ones, but was abit scared of the big ones but I thought they were great, especially the huge t-rex, I'd love to go again. The only problem was the mud, we were sort of prepared, turning up in a landrover & wearing boots but some people came in ballerina shoes & some cars struggled driving & parking on the field so people could do with a warning before hand but that would be my only criticism.

User

We visited taking part in a charity walk #memorywalk. The grounds are just beautiful and fully accessible for use of a pushchair. We visited the farm and the kids loved it especially the piglets running around our feet and letting us pet them. The cafe food is great quality and something for everyone. We had an incident with an ice-cream being dropped after being purchased and when meltdown happened and we'd returned to purchase a new one the staff were lovely and replaced for free. My sister and I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a fabulous day out.

We got married in the Great Hall at Temple Newsam in June 2018 and spent lots of time in the run up to the wedding visiting the park and the tea rooms.

The wedding planning team at the house (Ian, Helen, Steve, Bobbie) were all superb, and helped us every step along the way.

The park is beautiful especially when the rhododendrons are out - but really all year even in deepest winter. Don't miss a visit to the greenhouses in the walled garden.

User

Speaking on behalf of Morley Town AFC, thanks very much to Russell Stevenson of Colton Athletic for two good games over the past two weeks. We were fortunate to win on both occasions just by the odd goal and the facilities are really good for football.

User

Overall this place is an absolute gem! I live around a 5 minute drive away in Scholes and come here atleast every couple of days if not more frequently. The park next to the lower car park is a great place to bring young kids with plenty of different things to keep them entertained. The park is surrounded by fences and stiff spring gates so no children can reach the car park without an adult. Theres also the farn which is another nice attraction for kids. The multiple large open fields offer great places to play sports, walk dogs or just relax with a picnic in the summer. The woods on the property are also a wonderful place to go for a walk.

Basically you should definitely visit tempsie !

User

Love this place.

We live 18 miles away and try to visit several times a year. Something for everyone from open recreational fields, formal garden, lakeside, the estate house, the rare breed farm, café courtyard, woodland walks and open countryside. It's on a good bus route and with FREE ample parking. It can be a whole day out experience. But equally you could just spend a few hours walking around the estate. We've brought our kids and the dog here for years and now they've grown up we still come. But we come now after finding out recently, we have ancestral links to the estate itself by its first owner. So we have more reason to visit, I suppose. Even so, it's still lovely.

User

Love it here! We’ve done the house walk a fair few times and always enjoy coming back. We visited yesterday for a lovely walk around the grounds which are always beautiful. This is a special place to us and somewhere we will continue to visit!

User

Local gold here - thousands of memories as a kid, teen and now a grumpy 30 something. I get to tell the legend of the Blue Lady which my kids get scared of :-D Can't grumble at all. That story will be eternal :-D

User

Fantastic place for families, couples...in fact anyone. Lovely walks, play areas and farms. Was told by one of the farm workers yesterday they’re planning a whole re-fit of the farm to include shops and a new cafe.

We went with our Max Card as my daughter has an additional need and the staff were helpful and not at all judgemental. Great place to go for people with additional needs/disability as there are hardly any steps outside (some cobbles near the cafe and in the farm).

Would highly recommend and will be back again soon.

User

Been going here for 33 years, firstly with our kids and now with the grandkids 🤗💖😍😊 never tire of it! So much to see and do x x tea room is a bit pricy but hot food is fabulous especially the chilli yum yum

User

Absolutely wonderful day, seeing a baby lamb come into the world, holding some very cute little chicks and stroking a lamb. Lovely lunch in the coffee shop and great fun in the playground! We can spend hours here, cannot wait for the warmer weather, for picnic days! Thank u Temple Newsam.

User

We love it here and come regularly, the only let down is the extortionate prices in the cafe and shop. £2 for a can of pop, no prices displayed either....I won’t be back!

User

The farm is great for the kids. Lots of animals to see. The only thing that let it down was the cafe. £2 for a can of coke and £4.95 for a sandwich (2 slices of bread with cheese and pickle in it) is really expensive. If you go to temple newsam take your own food and drink.

User

Lovely grounds and parks. Farm animals look like they're looked after well. The gentleman stood at the entrance to take your tickets is very informative and friendly. Only downside to today was a 20minute wait for the toilet as a few were out of order and we visited too early to see all the flowers in bloom. Another visit in the summer will hopefully rectify that!

User

Great place. Went with out little girl. She loved the children's play areas. So much to see plus the little farm area. Did the dinosaur exhibition which was ok but nothing spectacular. Lovely grounds and well maintained. Tried out the cafe a bit disappointed. Very, very expensive and nothing much really for us as vegetarians. Especially as I don't eat spices and veggi options all spicy. Everything took about 40 mins to do and she was getting restless and bored. Ok for a brew but not worth it otherwise. The toilet facilities were clean and well maintained on the grounds and a nice gift shop. Overall a lovely day out.

User

Great place , lovely gardens , beautiful lake, the farm is great on price kids love it... the kids park is great and free to use.. its surrounded by open fields dog walkers welcome. Great to set up a picnic we love it.

User

went to the coffee house today and the coffee i was served was luke warm, i told the guy serving and rather than give me a fresh cup, he put it in the microwave!!

User

We must have blinked and missed the animals. Saw a few chickens and pigs and a couple of rabbits.

The route around the farm poorly signed and convoluted if you have small children with you. No staff to act as guides or explain anything. And where were the workshops of cheese making and blacksmithing?

Raising of game required!

User

I visited last summer and had a terrible gallstone attack whilst I was there.i was in agony and laid on the grass for hours.

My husband asked for a first aider and was told there isn't one !

No one helped,or offered to ring an ambulance

And there was no first aid box available to offer pain relief
