Nice to see the decision has been made to rename the Pellon Network Centre to the Hub @ Pellon, very 21st century, just wondering who's bright idea that was, as it certainly wasnt anything to do with the community it's supposed to serve unless decisions like this are being made by the YP of the area, this building is supposed to be a community centre and whilst I like seeing it being used on an evening I would appreciate it more if it was used for the purposes set out over 1...0 years ago when the funding was found and it actually be a community centre and not just a youth club as it us predominantly being used and portrayed now, signs for the PNC have been replaced and probably skipped, just like a lot of other stuff that like minded people like myself have spent many a year, blood, sweat and fights with the council to be kept open for the community, thinking I might be getting too old for this crap and it's about time I stood down as a representative of the Pellon community and let others get on with it!

EMERGENCY REQUEST!! A resident in Pellon suffered a disaster last week after a fire gutted the upstairs of their property and they have lost everything from upstairs and a lot of the stuff downstairs is smoke and water damaged, not sure what if anything is salvageable. He has 6 kids and I'm just wondering if anyone out there as any beds, blankets, bedding and furnishings, stuff for the kitchen including plates cooking utensils etc to try give this family a hand, it will be brill if ppl could get in touch the family have no transport so help with delivery would be appreciated for bulky items - please leave the group a message with what you have and we will then sort it out, they are getting temporary accommodation but it's unfurnished and they aren't sure if anything can be salvaged from their house!! Please share far and wide Thanks

Thursday 30th August we are working with Together Housing and Calderdale Council with a community clean up, volunteers needed to help shift bulky items and do a litter pick in the Pellon area - message the page if you need a hand to move bulky items etc
