Can you help Natasha? She is conducting a Master's thesis research into the collateral consequences of having a drug 'offence' on your record. If you have such an offence, please help her by completing the following survey: https://leidenuniv.eu.qualtrics.com/…/f o…/SV_4Z87xIradRTPkJ7

Well done James. Great coverage for the #Kirklees services The Union Bank, Union House and a clear message that people can, and do, recover from #addiction.

The Basement Recovery Project changed my life for the better. It gave me the tools and taught me to understand the cycle of addiction. I self medicated with alcohol for a number of years. It suppressed feelings that I found to difficult to face up to. My life ran on fear and self will. And my obsession with my substance took over my world to the point that I couldn't get out of bed in the morning without a drink. The dry wretching the sickness and the sheer madness of doing something that I no longer wanted to do. I was sick and tierd of being sick and tierd. Thank god I found the Basement, my saving grace, my life boat. I have so much to be grateful for these days I have learnt to live on life's terms and to face my fears head on instead of Fuck Everything And Run. The staff at the Basement and my recovery friends will never be forgotten. I am full of gratitude and truly grateful to each and everyone of them for believing in me and giving me my faith and hope back. Thank you

I've been going here on and off for just over five years, the first time it was for my children anybody but myself, they helped me see i had to do it for myself and only me was responsible for the consequences to my actions. I am now on my 3rd time lucky and so grateful they opened me back with open arms, I nearly didn't do it for the shame and guilt but i know they wouldn't judge me for relapsing again and they didn't as there door is always open xx

I can safely say that it saved my life, and helped me find trust and faith in other people. Without which I dread to think where I'd be today, my gratitude to the people that make it a scary magical journey, with some amazing outcomes for some of the most amazing individual's that come together to form a loving community. And when life goes sideways or I need to talk I have friend's that truly care ! TBRP thank-you !
