Thank you to everyone who bought tickets to come our bonfire last night. Hope you all had an amazing time. A big thank you to all the helpers and staff who help us out every year we couldn't do it without you. The fire work team who always do an amazing job. The singer and bands for great entertainment. 😊🔥🎆🎇

User

All tickets for tonights bonfire have now sold out. If you don't have a ticket you will not be able gain entry. you cannot pay on the door either. If you're coming by car can you park at the cricket club we have no parking at the pub tonight we just have room for people with limited mobility. please don't leave cars on the street leading down to the pub so it leaves room for emergency services. thanks for understanding and hope you all have a great night the fireworks are going to be amazing. The pub doesnt open til 6 🔥🎆🎇✨

We held our yearly presentation here for the first time this weekend and cannot recommend them highly enough! The food was beautiful, the staff were friendly and went above & beyond to accommodate. Will definitely be back

So called in with our friends for a bite to eat and what a fantastic meal we have just eaten! Absolutely gorgeous, good sized portions, compliments to the chef! We was served by the nicest friendliest barmaid too. We love to come here for the brill service and nicest food, well worth a visit! Xx

Me and my daughter came for the first time today after moving to the area. We had a lovely walk along the river then popped in for food. Bar staff were nice and friendly. I had Italian style chicken and my daughter had fish fingers. We were so full we couldn't manage a pudding. Will definately be coming again.

Awesome venue and lovely food

User

Amazing food, great staff. Lovely atmosphere. The kids love the massive playground. Had the scampi one time then Hunters Chicken. Kids had scampi and loved it. Great prices. Well recommended

We walk here most weekends and warm summer nights food is lovely but. I say this heavy hearted the bar is under managed tables left with empties the toilets unkept and the evidence of poor housekeeping. The tils have an habit of going down. I think a new outlook on what could actually be a fantatic pub is under looked. Possible beer bar out side not a tuck shop would ease the bar.

User

Lovely little pub great staff and the food was great, sat outside and enjoyed the beautyfull canal side tables 👍🏼

User

Just called for a quick pint it’s got an excellent beer garden with lots for children to do . Even a pedal operated roundabout.

Place was tidy staff friendly and beer good.

Beer £3.00 and larger £3.20

Food available but did not try

User

Had a pulled pork pizza which was made very well, rustic 👍🏻Tasty

The kids play area could do with a re-vamp it's a great garden space, just not being used to full potential.

User

For a riverside pub in a quite spot the choice on the menu was very good. Quick and most friendly service delivered a hot and tastey meal. Excellent pub for children and dog walkers with space and play area. It only dropped one mark because of untidy side of out building.

User

Fantastic pub! Beautiful location and a beautiful walk along the river to get there. Food was lovely, my only criticism is that it is always extremely popular during the summer and warm weather but the bar was poorly equipped and prepared. Not enough staff and not enough glassware. Other than that. Spot on!

User

Called down with the dog last week an sat in beer garden with dog, had stacked burger an chicken burger, food came out pretty quick an was very nice, not sure if you can eat with dogs inside but would be a big plus for us especially Sunday's

A good meal - on first entering the pub the welcome is the extremely drunk people stood at the bar being very rowdy, and the language used was somewhat intimidating - not really a great welcome for a family pub! However we moved to the back of the pub so only had to contend with them when they used the loo. The ladies toilets looked like they had been used for the containment of rubbish - a bin might've been useful ! Hand driers were much improved from our last visit though . Hot water wouldn't go astray for hand washing purposes ! It's been like that for years though. Top marks to the fellow just atarting his shift that couldn't get the lemonade to work so rather than have me stand at the bar waiting, came to me to offer an alternative drink.

User

Went down yesterday as a stop off on a bike ride, they seemed under prepared should they ever get busy. There were maybe 50 people in there, yet they had run out of glasses and there was a half hour wait for food (which we were warned about before ordering) The food was good when it arrived however and with a bit of work my score would go up.

User

Not a lot of choice on the menu. Food was very good what we had but choice of veg instead of salad would be nice. The bar staff didn’t make us feel welcome as it felt like we were doing them a favour by been there. As we arrived by boat it was difficult to get on and off. Maybe a floating pontoon would attract move river visitors.

User

I have given it 3* because we love the outside area. Great for kids. It's very child friendly, unlike one of the other pubs in the village! We have been regulars in the boat for 10 years. I just wish they could sort the food out, it's what let's the pub down. Running out of food, waiting over an hour for food to come out is not acceptable. Great location, lovely outside area, just pay for a decent chef and get some good food out.

User

Went sunday as it was a nice sunny day, but same as normal not enough bar staff and queuing up for 10 mins for a pint.Could really do with spending some money on beer garden for play area. This pub has so much potential but just needs a few extra staff and itll be fine.

User

No atmosphere, unclean and very average Sunday lunch. It cost £8.95 for a roast beef dinner, the veg was hard, the mash was lumpy and the roasts and Yorkshire puds were aunt Bessie's! Could have made better at home. The surrounding walk was covered in dog pooh as well. Not their fault I know but didn't help matters.

User

Was told no more food orders were been taken after walking from Garforth! Bank holiday! 2 members of staff! Advertised food till early evening, but turned us away at 230! Inside was empty and empty tables outside! Not busy and they were struggling! Was told by front of house that the chefs on today didn't know what they were doing! Not good!
