About The Dry Dock Leeds

One of the most unique spots in the heart of Leeds City Centre. An old boat that's been converted on to a pub that has one of the best beer gardens around!

The Dry Dock Leeds Description

A welcoming and informal bar in a student area, open from breakfast ’til the early hours. A great place to relax, meet new friends and join in activities such as quizzing and retro-gaming. It is also an ideal place to watch the big games on TV whilst eating and drinking from street food influenced menus

Visited the dry dock Thursday evening! Was ok but place is in need of refurbishment. (Luck of paint, definitely sort out the ladies toilets, the doors are so close to the toilets that a square has had to be cut out of the door to allow for opening) not classy at all!! Full of students and people on drugs! It’s the first time I visited and I can hand on heart say I won’t be returning!

Very little of the food menu available. Hour wait on food even though it wasn't busy and we only ordered fries which could have been cooked at the same time as any of the burgers and fries that were coming out of the kitchen. A lot of the tables were messy. Just seemed too relaxed on a staff level. Decided to leave.

Every time I come to Leeds I visit dry dock and safe to say this might be my last.

Firstly the pub was a state all night there was one poor lad on the floor who clearly should have had help!

Secondly after going to the toilets last night to see a flood of toilet water all over the floor, having to use less than sanitary conditions (this puts it mildly) I don't want to come back. After advising bar staff I got told that "it sounds about right for a Friday night"

Working in a bar I understand that it can be hard to keep things clean but those conditions were not okay by any means. My friend at one point had to climb over the toilet to get out of the cubical because the toilet had moved so much the door wouldn't open. They clearly need fixing!

A good pub let down by miserable staff who do their best to ignore punters at the bar. I know they get a lot of drunk people in [who are on the tail end of the 'Otley run'], but it's your job to serve people guys...at least try a little bit of smiling and actual 'customer service'. The only staff member who bucks the trend is the girl with the 'large ear fittings'...she makes a difference....everyone else it's '1/10... should and could try much harder' I'm sorry to say.

Not sure what happened. I had been enjoying the burger of the month there for a while and it was always good then on last visit (6th April 2018) I receive a burger with a stale bun, dry sauce and then after eating a portion of it notice that the bottom of the bun was covered in green mould. The burger itself did not taste juicy and satisfying like on my previous visits.

I did not complain, but wish I did. I actually wish I could have met the person that made this for me and demanded my money back. What utter disrespect that person had for a customer.

How did this happen? Was this burger sat in the kitchen for a a few days as an old order that was never received? Was the burger just heated up again and put back into the same bun? Was the burger fresh and just the bread was old because they run out?

I thought the burger came suspiciously quick to the table. Every other time I had waited much longer for the food. At this price, everything should be fresh and made with care.

I am furious and will NEVER be eating there again. I am also angry at myself because I never confronted them about it and I said I would never let anyone take advantage of me.

Another thing which has always bothered me is that they put orange or lemon pieces into your drink with their fingers right after handling money. This is a direct violation of hygiene rules. Buy some tongs.
