A warm welcome to Sarah Wood our Speciality Doctor who will now be working one day a week to support the wards with the GSF. Sarah has a dual role as both GP in primary care and also has 17 yrs for the Mid Yorks Trust.
Fantastic first day of rolling out training for ward staff with Epaccs and initiating the GSF discussion with patients/carers.
To quote ward manager Kelly-Marie Gate 33 - the GSF is important to our ward and we want the GSF accreditation.
... Great enthusiasm from all attendees- ranging fro discharge co-ordinators, ward managers/ ward sisters and oncology consultants.

It is about helping you to live well to the end of your life. After talking to a patient nearing the end of their life, and their family, we asked what is important to them now.
