It wouldn’t be January at the SJT without a visit from Hammonds Saltaire Band.
There’s something special about that rich brass sound in the Round auditorium, it’s enough to warm the cockles of your heart on a chilly winter’s day.
Under the direction of Morgan Griffiths and making full use of their award winning soloists, they play traditional, classical, popular and show tunes.
... Tickets are available from the theatre website or by calling their box office on 01723 370541

The Hammonds Band are pleased to announce that Jason Evans has joined on assistant principal cornet. Jason was previously principal cornet for many years at Marsden Silver Prize Band where he won a number of soloist prizes. He brings a wealth of experience and quality to the front row and will make his contest debut as a Hammonds player at Brass in Concert Sun 18th November 2018.
Musical Director Morgan Griffiths said " It has been a great boost for the band to sign such a top player as Jason. We have admired Jason for many years and we are delighted he has agreed to become part of the team. His experience, talent and fantastic attitude have had an immediate positive impact on the band. I know he will be a huge success at Hammonds "
