The Barons Bar is a great place for watching Live Sky/BT and also great for a game of Shuffleboard.

Day 9 nearly over. Part of the bar is starting to be put together again now.

User

never yet had a bad experience.... favourite is the mixed grill. kids love the meal deal (burger and a pint !) or 2 for a tenner. never really managed a pudding as always full, but seen some good ones coming out the kitchen. staff who wait on are always friendly and even when, lets say we are told 'no mozzarella for the anti pasta starter' they make up for that with something else as an alternative. sunday lunch is superb !

User

User

We live very close to the pub but rarely go to pubs. Tempted in by the outstanding gin range we spent a couple of hours there last night sampling several great gins and had a nice dinner too! The staff and manager are certainly very friendly, offering a very professional service and helpful and we were very pleasantly surprised! We plan to go there more often for sure!

User

Just moved to Moortown corner. Took a few friends last night to check out the new local. Food was exquisite. Service was excellent with very friendly staff. I was really pleasantly surprised and I will be taking any friends who come to visit here. Really nice pub.

User

Excellent value for money here. I don't think I've been to a pub for a meal other than Wetherspoon's that is such good value for food. Oh, and they sell Blue Moon which is my favourite beer.

User

Come hail, come rain, come sleet or snow...and the occasional period of British sunshine, as rare as that may be. I can think of no place better to kick back and relax!

User

Came in with a friend on our way into Leeds for a day trip. Great pub, helpful staff and fantastic food. The roast maple vegetable soup was fantastic - so much so that I’m going to have a bash at making it myself - God help the kitchen...😱😄! This was also the first time we’ve ever ‘done’ the over sixties option. So there are advantages to getting old...😄. Thanks for a great couple of hours. Will visit again next time I/we pass by...👍.

User

Just popped in for Mother’s Day food was lovely although they could have done with another member of staff on the bar

User

I was at the Lord Darcy last night with my partner and family, food was was good and staff are lovely but had to pull up 1 of the staff about how long it was taking to get our meals, they apologised and gave us deserts on the house.

User

Had a family meal to celebrate a birthday on Saturday night, meal was nice for everyone, no complaints, i asked to change boiled potatoes to chips but didn't get it, but i was asked if our meal ok and i said it was, the waitress was very busy and it didn't matter, where very helpful with regards hiding cake

User

Good choice of meals on the 2 for £10.99. The cod and chips with mushy peas was excellent with an extra supplement of £1. Service excellent.

User

The meal was good but the bill had to be questioned as there was an item on it not ordered or received also a single pot of tea was very expensive at £2.60. The bill was corrected after query but price of tea remained the same.

User

Pretty good. Smiling waitresses. Decent food. Marked down because of their "automatically adding straws to drinks policy" is not acceptable (very bad for the environment) and "automatically adding tonnes of ice to drinks policy" without asking customers if they want ice, and then arguing when you say you don't require it in your next drink, is not OK. Just give me what I asked for with no debate please ... a gin and tonic with nothing else in the glass, no straw, no ice, no fruit, no salad, no arguments. Thanks :)

I went with my wife and my mum for dinner, we booked a table as we didn't know how busy it was, when we got there we were sat at a table and left, I had to ask what type of service it was and we were told we had to order food at the bar, staff inside didn't mention anything, mum and my wife had the salmon and I had the dirty rice chicken burger that came with a lot of chips and a pot of cheese nacho sauce, it would have been better if it had some sort of vegetables with it, as it's a carb overload, nice pub, we'll go again.

Went again yesterday 13/11/2017, food was nice, although my mum wanted salmon, but it's not on the menu anymore, so she and my wife had fish and chips multibuy deal with a small glass of coke each and I had the double southern chicken burger and chips with a pint of Carling deal, checking the bill, they had charged me £10.49 for my burger and beer deal that should've been £9.99 and my mum had been charged for a cocktail instead of a glass of coke, after the meal we decided to have a hot drink each, here's the killer my mum ordered A POT OF TEA FOR ONE, THEY CHARGED £2.60 that is disgusting, my wife had a cappuccino and I had a latte they were £2.20 each, since when does a teabag, water and a splash of milk cost more than a coffee that has freshly ground beans, made by a special machine by someone that knows how to do it? Because of this recent visit, I've changed my star rating to two stars.

I just had a fish in the Lord darcy and after a couple of bones I picked out I got put off with my meal so a waitress came so i said i finish my meal she said did you read the small print. Disclaimer on bones.
