lots of people have different opinions on the NHS and there can be lots of negativity toward the service.

But, We have to say over this last week they have been amazing. Yes there was lots of waiting around and we went and were sent away and had to make another trip back, but each and every staff member was polite, helpful and so caring towards our little princess.

All in all we sat in the children’s ED for 8 hours. While there we saw lots of people that really didn’t need to be there they could have gone to the walk in centre or waited until the next day to visit the doctors.

As a nation we moan that A&E is always so busy however when people use it as a drop in centre how is it ever going to get any better! Think carefully about the service you and and if really really need to bother the over stretched, under paid and under appreciated doctors and nurses.

Rosie had surgery yesterday and can not fault the staff. When she had a temperature they were there, when she was coughing up blood they were there, when she’s was sacred of the needles they were there, when she’s was feeling hungry they were there. Me and Richard will be eternally grateful to the NHS and even though Rosie isn’t feeling her best I’m sure in time she will be too.

Thank you to everyone at Pinderfields hospital!

My Grandad has vascular dementia, Parkinson's and diabetes to name a few of his ailments. He was admitted 3 weeks ago to Pinderfields, and to be honest, his prognosis was not looking good. I have visited most days and I am in awe at the Staff on Gate 43. They treat those patients with such respect and care, just like equals. They do not loose patience answering the same question every 5 minutes, they show interest in the topics of conversation and they just care. They are also fun and upbeat even when the shift has been obviously hard. Luckily, Grandad is picking up, I think the medical dedication has saved him physically, but the nurture and love from every single member of staff has saved him holistically. I just needed share such good practice, it's wonderful to witness. You hear so many wrong doings for the elderly and dementia patients in the news, that I believe this should be recognised xxx

My Dad passed away yesterday on Ward 44. The care and attention from the doctor, the nurses and health care assistants was absolutely second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. Keeping my dad comfortable and me and my family plied with tea coffee and biscuits during the night and following day seemed to be their priority (whilst still caring for their other patients). We are so grateful for their time and attention. You made a very difficult time a little easier. Thank you xx

Just a short message of thanks to all the dedicated staff on gate 46....from the moment we arrived my son received the very best of care....They made a terrifying situation easier to deal with and gave my family the confidence to continue his treatment when the time came to bring him home ...he's doing amazingly well and coping with his condition brilliantly. ..keep up the good work guys ....Xxx

I was taken to Pinderfields Hospital on Saturday night by ambulance. I had phoned 111 for an out of hours appointment and they sent an ambulance, as my breathing wasn't very good.I can't praise the staff enough, from the ambulance staff to the hospital staff. I know they are rushed off their feet in A&E but all I saw were smiling, caring people, and I was put at ease. I had ECG's, blood tests and a chest X-ray. I was diagnosed with a bad chest infection and sent home with steroids and antibiotics, and nothing was too much trouble for them. I get sick of seeing people moan about having to wait, and blaming the nurses, it's not their fault, they do a brilliant job. Thanks for taking care of me.

I was admitted to ward 20a last Wednesday/Thursday after a stint in resus. I must say the staff on this ward are literally earth angels...from the doctors to the nurses and all the health cares, nothing was too much trouble. I was treat with kindness, empathy and the utmost dignity and respect. You all made my stay so much easier. Each one of these nurses and health cares deserve an award and you all have my utmost appreciation for all the hard work you do. Many thanks again and I hope the staff of ward 20a have this message passed on to them. They deserve some praise.

I recently gave birth to my baby boy on the 26th November at pinderfields hospital and I have to say I had the best experience I could have hoped for. The staff were brilliant and kept me informed every step of the way. All staff work tirelessly and some even miss out on their breaks to ensure they provide the best care possible. Take my hat off to them all! Both in the birthing suite and Labour ward I felt very comfortable and would deffinately return again for my next baby. I would recommend pinderfields to any ladies who are pregnant!

Fantastic service in paeds a&e this evening when my little girl cut her chin open, In and out within half an hour! All staff were caring, friendly and had an excellent approach to dealing with young children. I'm proud to call these people my colleagues and I can't thank them enough.

Excellent response from the ambulance service for my mum. From the call handler to the paramedic. The A&E staff with some lovely doctors and nurses smiling and having a sense of humour (good job seen as my sarcastic mother was the patient). Then to gate 12 for caring and having time for my mum and the doctors who kindly looked after her. My mum's (our) experience as been fantastic . Well done pinderfields A☆

Attended A&E yesterday approx 2.30pm with my baby boy who was having difficulties breathing. He was assessed in the children's unit immediately by a lovely triage nurse who then bobbed us straight into a room to wait for a Doctor. Our stay lasted approximately 3 1/2 hours and from start to finish every single member of staff we dealt with were absolutely fantastic. With our son being so young, scared, wheezing etc it was very hard to assess him etc but they all had the patience of a saint. Very thorough in what they do. The nurses even went to make my son some food etc as he hadn't eaten for hours. He had regular checks, nothing was too much trouble and yet again I ask you to pleass pass on my thanks and appreciation to all staff in the Children's Assessment Unit on 14th May between 2.30pm - 6.00pm. Happy to say our little boy is doing so much better now!

A huge thank you to Dewsbury A&E and the two paramedics who took me there this morning following an allergic reaction to antibiotics. My mouth and throat were swelling up and red itchy blotches had appeared on my wasteline. The paramedics, summoned by NHS 111, were brilliant and when we got to ddh I was seen almost immediately, everyone very professional, caring and refreshingly jovial. Well done and thank you everyone, great team work.

Mum recently had surgery in Pinderfields hospital, and I was totally amazed at the diff levels of cleanliness.. whilst on ward 34 cudnt fault it at all really clean and nursing staff absolutely brilliant with mum, time wasn't an issue at all... but when she moved to ward 33 well thts a diff story... found the ward to be a bloody disgusting dirty mess... was there most days for 6/8 hrs at a time n I didn't see one cleaner go into mums shared bay and clean round... and well when thy cleaned the shared bathroom may as not botherd just a quick wipe of toilet seat and tht was is it... no cleaning of the sink or surrounding areas.... cudnt wait to get mum home to a clean environment.... all the nursing staff on both wards were absolute angels cudnt fault at all, but it's obvious thy are so understaffed... NHS you either need to retrain your cleaning staff or get a new cleaning company in... all levels or cleanliness shud be same to high standards which it's not
