we watched Huddersfield win their promotion play off at the Spink's . Very busy, but all the staff were lovely, very helpful and communicated very clearly about how long we'd have to wait for food.

When for a birthday treat, 2 adults 4 children , food was great staff friendly we will defo be going back as the price was great too

What a great place to go for a steak. As a chef for 9 years myself and to have a perfectly cooked BLUE sirloin steak 2 days in a row. And extremely friendly staff. I will deffinatly be back tomorrow for my 3 steak. Thanks again!

Top pub and the food is great. Really nice family pub and the staff ate really helpful. There were a few spoilt little brats complainig and giving the staff a hard time which spoiled the atmosphere slightlt but i think that was down to a few too many alcopops and the fact that they were plain spoilt little brats. If you want fast food then go to mcdonalds.

On our way home from Huddersfield we call in for lunch at the Toby carvery sorry unless you're booked in it will be 45mins wait

Not with 5 hungry bellies to feed so we turned around and found this lovely very welcoming pub to our delight we didn't have long to wait for the scrumptious food on offer.

My 4yr old granddaughter ate every single bit on her plate and trust me that's a rare sight

So got to have a bowl of ice cream for afters

The staff was very polite helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Chicken and rib combo was awesome and definitely couldn't have managed a pudding though was very tempted.

We left happy full and very content

Not been to the spinks for a long time, went yesterday with my friend for food! Unfortunately they had run out of sirloin which we found surprising, however we were upgraded at no additional cost to the rib eye. After eating, I understand why they had run out of sirloin. It's was beautiful. The staff were fantastic and the atmosphere was fab. The football was on tv and aside from the occasional chanting, which was of no bother to either of us, it was quite a mellow surrounding. Will definitely be going back

Love it here. Normally call in every month or two after finishing work as it's only across the road. Been here several times for food and it's always good.

I would call in more if they got Strongbow Dark Fruits on draught or even the red berries or black cherry bulmers.

I won the competition for 2 free meals and I went down today with my family and the food was amazing, the new menu is fantastic and the atmosphere was great and you couldn't ask for nicer staff, thank you so much

Great pub friendly bar staff and customers too. Such a chilled out environment and worth it paying little bit extra. Can't wait to try out the food and quiz night

20 Oz steak fantastic son had chicken tikka clean plate fajitas for the wife she loved hers great place great food will be going again

Went here for my mother in laws birthday lunch today and it was lovely! The service and food were great and very reasonably priced! Would definitely go back again!

Upon revisit to this place after a not so good experience, I can say that we had a great time and the food was lovely. We didn't have to wait long for food , however we did wait 15 minutes for a jelly to be brought oyt at which point we left as we had to go. The staff were friendly. The manager personally rang me to apologise for our previous visit. Not sure I would go back.

The food is lovely very reasonable priced and very hot. Was busy on a wed night but we did get a table. It's not my 1st visit here I've been going for some yrs on and off but stopped for a while until recently I also visited in Jan on my bday with the fam and we all enjoyed very much. The only problem I found yday was no1 came to clear our table as quick As last time and we left without getting a pudding we had paid for. Didn't realise until we got home. No1s fault just 1 of them things. Its also a lovely place in summer plenty table and chairs outside massive area.

Staff are lovely and food is very reasonably priced service could be quicker especially as it wasn't very busy but it was made up by the quick arrival of the food

Liam is a jovial host, and appreciates my assistance, the Tuesday or Thursday Quiz start a little late, but that does not matter now the buses (360) stop at 20:36 instead of 22:36 (bad Metro)

I Took my wife to the spinks nest for the 1st time for her Birthday.

The appearance from outside is tudor style white with black beams,

has we entered the Lounge it had that 1980's look, big round patterned light shades, a little dated could do with a refurb.

The seating area in the lounge had aprox 15/20 tables.

The Food was plentiful could not fault it, quite reasonably priced as well

the bar staff/waitress were polite and asked us was everything okay.

There seemed to be some locals gathered near the bar who were friendly.

A nice little eatery located on the outskirts of town, located in Birkby Huddersfield. We would definatly go again.

Ordred food and even though it wasn't busy an hour later we got a refund and left and got a take away instead.

Would not recommend and will never go back!

Just ordered the Mixed Grill and the only part that wasn't burnt to a crisp was the gammon don't no weather it was a bad day all round but tried to bring it to the attention of the bar staff and they didn't want to no so I am afraid will not be coming back
