About The Warehouse Leeds

The Warehouse is a legendary Leeds nightclub founded in 1979

The Warehouse Leeds Description

More than thirty years after first opening back in 1979, legendary Leeds music venue The Warehouse returns with an astonishing new look, sound and feel. This is the place that started it all, opening up even before the Hacienda. From the late 70’s, The Warehouse introduced a whole new culture and became the epicentre of music and clubbing in the North of England.

Of course, high on the agenda for the new owners has been the technology behind the light and sound systems to provide a venue that is simply untouchable in Leeds. Brand new Funktion One Dance Stacks tower above the dancefloor as well mind blowing lighting rigs, colour lasers and CO2 jets. Elsewhere, the venue has been remodelled throughout with a new layout, new chillout areas, state of the art DJ equipment, new dance levels, new bars, new toilets and new air conditioning. Upstairs in the Loft the walls have been blasted back to expose the brick and huge wooden beams, fireplaces and sash windows have been revealed to create a sumptuous second room.

Since opening a year ago The Warehouse has had everyone from Claud Von Stroke, Grandmaster Flash, Calvin Harris, Lee Foss, Art Department, Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler, Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, Redlight, Maya Jane Coles, AN21 & Max Vangeli and Stacey Pullen to name just a few.

The Warehouse has now become the underground venue of choice within the city having recently undergone an amazing refurb. The venue is steeped in history with everyone from The Stone Roses, Sasha, Oasis, LFO, Aphex Twin and Sugar Hill Gang having played at the venue back in the day. It's also the venue which inspired LFO to make the seminal LFO - The Leeds Warehouse Mix which shows how important this venue has been to electronic music in the city.

Since the venue re opened it has had an amazing first year and things are just going to get better as they have Basement Jaxx, Soul Clap, Jimmy Edgar, Louie Vega, Jack Beats, Kenny Dope, Machinedrum, Doctor P, Untold, Cookie Monsta, Bar9, James Zabiela, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Pete Tong, Francois K, Blond: Ish, Todd Edwards, Emalkay, Todd Terry, Eliphino, Xxxy, Appleblim, Ms Dynamite, and Objekt all lined in the next few months.

The best club in leeds,in it's day, carnt comment about it now as I havnt been ,since the last shine, but usually a good night out, depending on who,s on,and what music you are into,

User

Staff were incredible when my friend lost her bag they went to all ends to help us find it and we finally did! Thankyou so much the security were so lovely too!

User

Shine! Is Amazing, the Warehouse is Amazing! It's not all about the drink!! Its to feel alive and reconnect with music let it free your soul...Just ENJOY! !!

User

Regardless of me falling on my face numerous times, the bouncers had the world of time for me. I’d give the whole night an 11/10 for great vibes, great music, rustic charm.

User

Love The Warehouse! The staff are amazing and so helpful making it one of the best nights out in Leeds.

User

Had what was about to be a terrible night (wombats overbooked) but Arthur the head doorman was a blessing! Very apologetic and sympathetic, great guy, did what he could and explained everything in way that definitely defused the situation for the 60+ people line. Went above and beyond for us! Will be coming back to Warehouse.

User

Best venue in Leeds without a doubt, great service from the staff both inside and out with quick bar queues, fantastic night out.

User

Best UK trance night ever for me! Perfect Great crowd, every tune was insane!

User

Attented Shine 3rd Birthday on Saturday with two of my Good Friends. One of the best venues in Britain and it will always be in my Eyes. Thats because the people of Leeds and the North East make it that way. All the DJ's were outstanding and a Big Respect to Heller

and Farley who i 1st heard on Radion 1's Essentail Mix 20 yrs. Absolute Cracking Night!!!! A Big Thanks to the Club -you hold a place in my Heart ( Big Time!! ) xx see you in 2015!!! Xx

User

Always a banging night at the warehouse. Quick entry, sick night, short drinks queues and great staff. Always a guaranteed good night out!!

User

A great venue. I've been here twice now, both times to Tidy events. Hopefully we'll meet again, some sunny day

User

2nd nye at the warehouse! Door staff were fine! One even let me out to pop a record to the car that was given to a friend from a dj. Didn't think the toilets were to bad, never had to cue. Drinks were expensive but on par with most clubs that hold events like this. More seating would be great as there is literally only 2 sofa's upstairs and one booth downstairs.

User

I rate this place 4*'s you need to create a second female toilet, the queue ruined my night. F u

User

The venue is sweet the security not so.

The main room music was so loud that it encroached on the back room which was a major disaapointment for all the Dj's and clubbers alike.

That said the place was rocking. But that was down to the promotion and not the venue.

User

Toilets is a major let down - 7 cubicles when there's 1200 tickets sold - spent half the night queuing for the loo! Bouncers were strict - wanted to nip to my car and practically had to beg!! (I wasn't drinking alcohol). Pricey for drinks - £3 a bottle of water! Dread to think how much alcohol was! Main issues definitely the toilets - sort it out please it's a joke. Good event by Tidy thou - loved it!

User

The girls toilet situation is ridiculous. Every time I've been there had been at least an hour wait for the girls toilets. They need to make the female toilets larger and even the security guards agree. It's ridiculous that the queue goes out the MAIN DOORS for girls to use the toilets. I love the dj's and drinks prices are brilliant but the overselling of tickets and queue for the girls toilets is enough to make you not come back... BUILD MORE CUBICLES FOR GIRLS TO PEE!!!!

User

Management in this place are a joke. We are professionals who booked a venue and as such if we book 2 rooms and book dj's to fill 2 rooms then that should be allowed to happen without management being so nasty. The bouncers were just hateful and nasty. A disgrace for human beings they were. This night could have been so much better. Instead you all as a collective ruined the audiences night by closing a packed room for no other reason than its a bit empty downstairs. You ruined the night for many dj's too. and the sheer state of that top bar. Scenes reminiscent from 28 days later. How how HOW can a venue as big as this run out of alcohol on a Saturday night?

User

Event was ok, music was ok. Night was shit because the bouncers were all twats. All of them were pinging hard and threw me out for WEARING A HAT. One pretty much assaulted me as I tried to get back in.

User

Even tho we had a great time from previous experiences at the warehouse, last nights organiser was a complete idiot with the worse attitude I ever seen on a Techno scene!

We don't tolerate violence and lack of respect of any kind! Shame on you!
