Tigger and Velvet's Pony Days are for children between 6 and 10 years old to learn how to communicate and look after animals. At a deeper level this will help with other life skills including teamwork, better communication, developing independence, learning how to care for others and improving confidence. Sarah Greenwood, Dawn Jackson and Bea Crowther who run the Pony Days, are experienced in working with children, Sarah being a Massage in Schools Programme trainer Dawn being a qualified riding instructor with 15 years experience, and Bea who is an equine /rider personal assistant. Their aim is to promote a happy atmosphere in which children can learn to handle and work with the ponies and have fun with each other. The children will do pony related tasks, have games and do other activities with a pony theme. Children go home with a certificate of skills they've covered during the session and can add to them at different sessions, and a rosette.
