* We love to hear stories from our clients about their horses! *
23yo Nutty is an RDA pony with a huge amount of character! At the weekend, Nutty attended a fundraiser for a young boy called Joey who suffers from cerebral palsy. Nutty was his mount and he made a grand entrance at the event! The RDA do some fantastic work with both children and adults and the ponies are truly amazing.
... Take a look at Nutty below and we have also attached the Just Giving link if anybody would like to donate.

** You’re never too young to learn about equine dentistry! **
Mike, one of our equine partners, is always keen to get clients involved in his dentistry work. He wanted these young ladies to feel their horse’s teeth before and after the rasp to understand why his work is important to make the horse comfortable!
Contact either of our clinics on 01327 811007 or 01788 523000 if you’d like to get your horse booked in for a tooth rasp and oral checkup.

Our vet Mark has been away covering the British Showjumping National Championships at Stoneleigh Park. Our brand new banner was displayed in the Showing World arena whilst lots of lovely traditional cobs were competing!

Unfortunately Jerry was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis and from previous cases worldwide there's a 2% survival rate. I've had to say goodbye to him several times which broke my heart but I can finally say with the amazing help and skill from the Towcester vets (especially Becky who I will forever be thankful for not only is she an amazing vet but an amazing person) he is making a good recovery and even had a trot on the lunge today! Thankyou Towcester!

User

The vets are amazing and so polite and helpful. Alice done my boy Macs kissing spine surgery and she was amazing. Whenever a vet came to check after his op Alice would come to see him as she had operatated on him.

Thank you for making Macs stay so easy for him and taking great care of him

User

Thankyou so much to the lovely Becky, Emma and mike who have all visited my ponies over the past few weeks and dealt with our various dramas. We’ve had sweetitch, colic, an unknown eye complaint and a navicular cyst to contend with!!!!!! To say it has been stressful would be a total understatement but we have been treated so well by these guys. A special thanks to Emma who spent numerous hours on emergency call outs with us and Becky who put us at ease when we were over at the practice for the day and had to deliver us the navicular news!

Both ponies have received the upmost care and you all had a lovely way with them.

Thankyou again and I’m sure I will be seeing you again very soon

User

Thank you Mike for coming to Paris' rescue last night after he had a bout of spasmodic colic. Having seen him (Paris not Mike!) go down with a more serious episode last year which managed to reduce me to a gibbering wreck, the usual calm reassurance of Mr Sheldon managed to convince me that all would be ok this time and it was just the sudden change in the weather that was likely to be upsetting his constitution. Suffice to say, Paris is back to normal today. Sorry to have dragged you out on such a chilly evening but thank you for the usual prompt and friendly service.

User

Realised this week that Mark has treated my first pony (12years ago) and now my last horse. He has a lovely aura, he is calm and talks to my horse throughout. He explains things at a normal level without the jargon or the condescending Vet voice. Keeps me updated likes to have a laugh He is a lovely person and an asset to the practice.

Girls on the phone are always super helpful. Free zone visits are handy.

This practice is not the closest to us but I cannot fault the service in any shape or form. In the 12 years they have never let me down. I just hope as they expand that they do not change in respect of the high quality, personalised and individualised service we have always received in the past.

User

I was dreading my visit to the clinic on Monday with my old girl. I knew that she would need a tooth out and that she would hate it. Mike and his brilliant team soon had two teeth out. I am so glad that it is over and that I have a pain free horse.

User

I used Towcester Vets (Towester Equine Breeding Services ) last season to collect off my stallions Cobra and Astral 53, I couldn't have been happier with the professional, friendly, helpful service that I received from everyone involved. Everyone from the girls in the office, the vets, assistants and the stallion handler were a pleasure to work with and in my opinion went above and beyond what would be expected to help us all through the season. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

User

I have used Towcester vets for many years, poor Andy needs a translator!!! Today Mark came out to vaccinate my show pony, Mark hadn’t met Fuzzy before, asked all questions about him, and we had a general chat. Mark went to sort vaccination, came back to Fuzzy, did some scratching and patting, vaccination given, and Fuzzy knew nothing about it, He didn’t flinch, pull away, jump or nothing. Fuzzy looked almost surprised when mark walked away!!! Thanks again, super service, and nice to catch up with mark, you did nod in all the right places

User

I have just had great news, my three mares are all scanned in foal. This practice is first class. I have tried many others but none compare. Well done and thank you for all you have done for me

User

I don't know what I'd have done without all your help these past few months, even if my mare had to be put at rest and the end of it all but you have been incredibly supportive of mine and Amber's needs and I couldn't thank you enough.

And I was so melted by the sorry for your loss card I received today from Mike and the team. Thankyou soso much, you all do brilliant work x

User

I can’t thank Mike and his team enough for their help and support with William during his Illness and with the decision we had to unfortunately make. Mike was always at the end of the phone

User

Highly recommended. Expert vets, amazing nurses and receptionists that can't do enough for you. Recognised a fractured pedal bone for one of my boys who is now fit and well, thanks to Andy and the team we're off to our first SJ this weekend!! Something I thought we'd never get to do! :) thank you all.

User

Fantastic vets who explain everything. Have fixed and helped many of my horses. Though RA keeps giving them unusual injury or symptoms they have always got to the bottom of it. I can not praise all the vets and staff so much for putting up with us. Xxx

User

Fantastic service. Phoned today concerned about a cut on my pony. Promptly put through to speak to a vet and was able to send a photo of injury. Put my mind at rest and saved a uneeded callout. Very friendly and approachable. They also treated my TB for a nasty abcess earlier in the year and I couldnt fault the service!

User

Cannot thank the team ,vets and the surgeon for treating and looking after Argo. Can’t believe how big the bone chips that were removed were. It’s a big weight off our minds to know he is in such good hands.

User

Can't fault them 👌🏻 Really friendly with the horses. Matt took the time to get to know each of mine before starting to carry out treatment. One is an 18yr old who usually dislikes the vet & the other is a 1 year old who is rather impatient with the whole standing still thing. Haha. Lovely and reassuring staff over the phone! Changing to this practice was one of the best decisions I have ever made for the horses!

User

Amazing service, felt very at ease when my horse stayed over for a week after a big operation. Victoria looked after Apollo like her own... rang me for daily updates and kept in contact when I brought him back home. Finally back on my horse feeling better than ever. Can’t rate them enough Thankyou to all the vets who assisted with Apollo’s big operation.

User

Amazing service always. From jabs to major injuries the staff have always shown kindness, professionalism, skills, and show a genuine concern towards the owner and horse.

I would only use Towcester or Onley vets for my precious herd.

They have saved my little Pip (rescue mini shetland) twice now, always going above and beyond to help her.

They have searched every possibility to further help my arthritic mare (ISH).

I wouldn't have my guys health and wellbeing in any other hands other than Towcester. #super#vets!

User

Abi was absolutely fantastic when our pony fell through a bridge and damaged his back leg severely - she treated him on the day and throughout the couple of months after and surprisingly we were back riding him at two months and showing at three
