This was Saturday and the atmosphere was electric!!

We have eaten at many other local restaurants. Some of the same chain. This beat them all. Friendly happy staff. Lovely food. Nice and hot. Very tasty. Will be back again. Very interested in the christmas specials

Visited yesterday afternoon, pub is so lovely and makes you feel really relaxed! Met the new manager Joanne she was lovely!! I had the ultimate fish and chips with scampi, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce it was amazing! My partner had rib eye cooked perfect and swapped his chips for salad it was so fresh and tasty we can't wait to go back!!!! �

The travellers rest it's an inviting place I eat alone most time there always some were for me to sit had a chicken plater it was lovely food was hot and I had to dive right in New manager jo made me fell welcome bar staff were happy to help thanks travellers rest !!!!!!

Me and friends was at the pub last night for a retirement party.. Its the first time I've been and I can honestly say we all had a brilliant night.. The staff are lovely and the food was really nice and the dj was fantastic. I will definitely be going back. I would recommend the travelers rest for a nice friendly night out.

Lovely Sunday lunch, the beef was melt in your mouth and with happy smiley staff what more can you ask for. Will definitely return again

Love it here food was lovely as per usual !! And service good 5 of us enjoyed it and the steak was spot on the other 2 for 8 pounds you cannot complain at quantity and quality and a few of you can enjoy good food at a good price !! Will b going again soon

I love this place , the Steak and Ruddles Ale pies are to die for , I have it every time I go which is becoming quite regular and the atmosphere is great

Went here last night,good night apart I had to wait 20mins to get served staff was lovely

Very polite staff lovely decor a bit noisy as it is a family pub but food was good and reasonably priced

Had 8oz rump steak, asked for it cooking medium, was a little rare for me, I don't enjoy blood oozing out when cut into and because it was rare it went cold quickly. I guess you get what you pay for though, cheap piece of steak, tough, with lots of fat and gristle, ended up leaving some as it was too much gristle, raw and cold. The chips, peas, mushrooms and onion rings were all good though. Noticed no one came to ask if everything was to our satisfaction.

Also the pub had lots of kid's running around, many still in school uniforms, this was despite the time being after 19.00.

The beer and wine was ok though, should be, as it's a pub.

At least the place was clean and staff quickly wiped the tables down after diners had left.

Extremely disappointed at being asked for 50p for extra gravy on my very average sunday lunch. We eat out a lot at various pubs/restaurants and have never been asked to pay extra for more gravy which surely is an obvious part of Sunday dinner?? What next? 20p for a squirt of ketchup!!??!

went there on tuesday @ 6 not busy at all really, 5 of us for a birthday meal. waited a fair old while for the food to come, chips looked like they'd just been showed the fat frier not put in it, they looked anaemic tbh, chicken not warm & having paid for some extra's & sides we were made to wait for them to arrive, by that time some of us had eaten our meals.

Had to clear the plates, glasses ourselves aswell.

wont be rushing back i dont think, new tenants or landlords who were oblivious to the total disarray & even had the cheek to thank us & say come again!!!!!!

Maybe not i think will be the case.

Rediculous service few things on the menu not available coke was flat . Really gone down hill used to be the best place to eat in armley but not anymore

Party of 12. 9 adults and 3 children. Bar staff very rude. Scampi turned up burnt and chips cold. To be fair. Young girl, who incidentally was a star, took it away and second meal was good. As stated the only saving grace was the young waitress. She held a cheery disposition and was very helpful unlike the young girl who was looking after the bar. What a shame. Don't usually complain.

Came for a family meal on Boxing Day. Waited a hour for food in the meantime the kitchen had to be closed for a drain problem. Our food still came which was 7 meals everyone was cold. I told a member of staff he just shell I warn it up no thanks the meal should come hot. We put most in tissues for the dog at home and left even didn’t wait for my child’s ice cream last time we come there.

Went there for dinner Saturday night 6/5/17 ordered a starter which came and was lovely, Main course came nearly an hour after, My husband said his food was not hot but warm enough to eat. I ordered Gamon it was all freezing cold I went to bar with the food to say it's cold bar women said just leave it on bar I will sort it. It was left on the bar for ten minutes while the bar was full with customers. Eventually they took the dinner away half an hour later my food came at this point I was past eating and my husband had finished his meal. My dinner had been warmed up and it changed from peas to mushy peas. Half an hour to warm the same meal that's sat on the bar with customers breathing all over it. Safe to say won't be eating there again....

Went for drinks for a friend's birthday last night music so loud couldn't hear ourselves talk us and numerous other customers asked for it to be turned down which it was and then turned back up by supervisor tables were full of crockery and glasses that were never cleared have enjoyed night's out in there before but was really disappointed last night

This place has gone down the pan recently. Our meal yesterday was not up to scratch & the 40 minute wait was unacceptable. Glasses were left uncollected & the mess in the beer garden was a complete eyesore. We won't be eating there any more
