We are in the middle of a charming cul-de-sac which is literally twenty seven steps away from the hubbub of Hebden’s lively cosmopolitan atmosphere. Enjoying a slightly elevated and secluded position so it’s very peaceful too, it’s the best of both worlds.
Our recently fully refurbished underdwelling (or upstairs /downstairs house) has a small patio to the front, enabling you to enjoy the stunning panoramic views of both the town and The Calder Valley. Perfect for a glass of wine at the end of an eventful day.
Hebden Bridge is a thriving town famous for its creativity art scene and alternative lifestyle. Located in the very heart of The Pennines and listed as ‘the coolest place to live in Britain’ by The Times in 2013 and ‘the 4th funkiest town in the world’ by British Airways.
It has unrivalled independent shops and boutiques, cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants, numerous arts and music festivals. If any of that’s not your cup of tea, well there’s breathtaking scenery and walking in the hills, valleys and streams that surround the town, and it’s all within a stones throw.
It sounds like a cliche, but there really is something for everyone in this beautiful town.
We are 5 minutes walk from the train station and 30 seconds walk from the bus stop and taxi offices.
The nearest supermarket is also 30 seconds away.
Twenty Seven Steps is the most direct access to our property from town but it can also be accessed by a road and we can offer you private on-street parking.

So chuffed about this. Two years of hard work gone into this certificate. Big shout to everybody involved. Thanks to Luke Bower and John Bower for their brilliant refururbishment and for Johnny Bower for his ongoing help with maintainanence. Mostly though thanks to Susie Sue Sumpner for keeping the standards high enough to achieve this Certificate.
Two years on and still going strong. Can't believe it's just 24 months since we opened twenty seven steps. It's been busy right through, even in the winters. We have had hundreds of guests stay with us and every visit has gone well with just occasional blips. We have had guests from all over the world including three separate groups from Australia in the past month. Thanks to everybody who has contributed to our sucess. In particular a big shout to Susie Sue Sumpner for for keeping the standards so high that we have achieved 5 stars on Air b n b and awarded Trip Advisor Certificate of Exellence. Long may it continue.
Can't believe how busy we've been this Summer. 94 % occupancy most months since March. We are just getting ready for the Festive season in Hebden Bridge which gives Sue another house to decorate for Xmas ! Good job she loves it.
Got our best booking yet. A film crew staying for the whole of March. Hope they're enjoying the Yorkshire weather.
