Artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionise the speed and accuracy of medical diagnosis.
Thanks to a new £10 million investment, the University along with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust will bring together nine hospitals, seven universities and ten industry partners to establish a world-leading centre for applying AI research to cancer diagnosis.

What could a driverless future look like for Leeds and the rest of the UK?
Using mathematical models our researchers have predicted the possible impact driverless cars could have on urban transport systems and public behaviour in Leeds. The scenarios used could be applied to other cities to estimate how communities may need to adapt.

New collaborative research from our scientists, together with the WHO Regional Office for Europe shows gaps in data could mean potential nutritional issues in certain countries may be undetected or underestimated.
