Me and hubby walked into Leeds on Monday morning to visit the new Victoria Gate centre. Very impressed... We went especially to the Nespresso store, as before we either had to go to the nearest one at the Trafford centre in Manchester, or order our coffee online(which cost us a £5.00 delivery) - so was best pleased there's one in Leeds!! Great new shopping centre - will be back many more times.

Lovely staff in pret a manger. Griffith was excellent and very attentive when I couldn't find a vege option I wanted. After a busy day he made a lovely cuppa too! Thank you Griffith.

Just the best shopping experience I've had in many years. The new shopping centre is stunning. Leeds is great for shopping. By the way I was just visiting Yorkshire, I'm from the south. I'm so envious.

Fantastic classy area of shopping here at Leeds. Best John Lewis ever puts York to shame. Very much enjoyed our trip to Leeds today it really is a fab place for shopping and the new White Company here in Victoria Gate is wonderful and is very easy to spend heaps of money !! Loved it

Visited on Saturday the 6th of May. Spacious and gorgeously beautiful. But the place was nearly deserted. Enjoyed the afternoon tea at John Lewis. My wife bought clothes and cosmetics. I visited the Camera store. All other shops looked dazzlingly immaculate. Sadly only one thing was missing, the customers.

I had been keeping a watchful eye on the webcam in eager anticipation of the long awaited John Lewis.

The arcade is top notch both in design and content-something for Leeds to be proud of.



Overall impressed with John Lewis. Initially not bothered by the bare concrete ceilings-in line with 'industrial chic' style. However, when viewing the levels of the store from the arcade entrance, it looks awful!



It is also a pity that there is only one window decoration on the Headrow side of the store. Its mainly concrete panelling does little to publicise the store, enlighten a drab side of a major Leeds thoroughfare, and compliment the magnificent diagrid design.



A definate 5 otherwise!

Beware if you are wearing smooth soled shoes, glossy slippery flooring (also sloping) to arcade areas. The shops we went in only had ladies clothes sized in USA and Continental sizes not UK. At least the shops were not the run of the mill usual stores.

What a joke! Paid for my ticket 45 minutes ago and I’ve only just got out of my space! Apparently this is not a one off, it is like this every Saturday! What a shame as the John Lewis is a great addition to Leeds but with a car park like this people will stay away!

Nice car park but unfortunately not secure. Apparently the sturdy gate in the security fence for the external area is left wide open for ease of access for pedestrians. Unfortunately that also means malicious individuals with a hammer can right walk in and vandalise your car - and the high-tech CCTV system that is there for your security doesn’t capture what has happened - your car is in a blind spot! This may have been an isolated incident but when something like this happens you expect management to accept some responsibilty. £23 pounds for the day and over £3.5k of damage. If you have a nice car think again!

Never ever park in there on a Saturday, it has just taken us 2 hours to get out of their car park, and with a 6 week old baby this wasn't a pleasant experience at all!

Love Victoria Leeds. Love the design. Usually I love John Lewis but sadly the one in Leeds seems to have employed miserable snotty nosed,self important staff that look down their noses at you and wouldn't know the importance of customer service if it jumped out and smacked them in the face.

My husband and I went to John Lewis last night with the intention of spending a lot of money on a new TV and vacuum cleaner.

The first staff member didn't have a clue and said she needed to get a manager to operate the system. The manager arrived he was the most unhelpful individual ever. My husband had just finished work and was in his work clothes. This manager looked down his nose at us. The greeting at best was indifferent, the result was we walked out.

John Lewis - you need to train your staff better, there is a lot of competition out there.

Visited the Leeds branch on Friday, the location is amazing but the food wasn't great.



I had the chicken caesar burger which arrived, the chicken was dry and looked like it was old and also dry even before I ate it. The bun and dressing was really good though.

The potato was served in a warm dish but the potato was old, semi warm and cold in other places. The order was taken minutes before it arrived at the table.

I have no idea what the coleslaw (or salad) was about though, a huge portion of very poorly cut vegetables with a strange dressing and not even seasoned.



The downstairs looks amazing but I have no desire to come back even the coffee was very very bad. No taste, lukewarm making Starbucks look exotic.

I don't know how they the balls to charge so much for parking. Absolutely diabolical. Especially when you can park all day for 8 quid just down the road. Money grabbing thieves.

DO NOT park here on a Saturday. Took us 2 hours to get off Floor 8 today. Other reviews have mentioned this since you opened. Why is this still happening? Get the traffic light sequence changed. Ridiculous.

Car parking is a joke. Chimpanzee level planning. Can’t handle any volume of traffic. 40 minutes since we got back to the car. Moved 2 floors and 4 to go. 2 year old girl and 9 months pregnant wife in the car. Fuming.

Car park what a joke 1 hour 8mins to get out from floor 7 , it was nothing to do with the Taxi/ bus protest it’s bad planing it was the traffic lights so that problem will never go away , the roads where clear once out staff helpful and friendly tho

Been 40 minutes to move seven metres trying to get out of level 8 of car park. At this rate might be home by midnight. Day ruined! People with baby in car behind looking very distressed. Baby crying.

Absolutely disgusting. Took 2 hours to get out the car park from paying the ticket.

And you have dicks pushing in like the Audi & Porsche. Never again.
