A very pretty christening cake for you today in pinks and neutral colours. I loved this one so much, the photo really doesn't do the shimmery top tier any justice and the ruffles go all the way round the bottom tier too (I lost track of how long they took and I have to say I was delighted to get them finished!). Name topper was added after collection.

Another drip cake for you today but this one was for Eve's 13th! Eve's favourite colour is orange and she loves Haribo and butterflies..so naturally thats what she got! Happy Birthday!

I was not disappointed by my couples venue choice today..stunning decals and paintings adorned the walls and the veiw from the parlour steps was beautiful and very calming! Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Elvin who are currently celebrating their marriage at the gorgeous Wortley Hall today!

Happy Yorkshire Day everyone! What better cake to share with you today than this cake I made to celebrate the marriage of Frankie and Curtis! The happy couple wanted a very non traditional wedding (so much so that this cake was ordered by the mums and given as a surprise because "no wedding can't have a cake!") which consisted of a service at Wakefield Town Hall and then a festival themed party in a local farmers field over looking the beautiful valley of Upper Denby Dale! Their cake was designed with this in mind with the happy couple having a picnic at the top of the hill! Many congratulations to the happy couple!

A very fun and colourful rainbow cake for Kitty's 7th birthday last month (it was a rainbow cake inside too ;D )..I've been making Kitty's birthday cakes for the last 3 years now and I can't wait to see what theme she wants next year!

The 4th and final wedding cake of this weekend was set up for Samantha and Luke’s big day at the gorgeous Waterton Park Hotel this morning! Many congratulations to the happy couple, I hope the rain didn’t spoil your day! ☺️

The 2nd of 4 weddings this week was set up this morning for Vicky and Chris’s big day at Rogerthorpe Manor! Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Hanson! 😃

The first of this weekends 4 weddings was set up at the fabulous Kings Croft Hotel this afternoon! Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Wilson!

I took some quick photos of Rachel and Rob's cake before I left to set it up at the Rugby Club..hopefully to light is better for you to see some of the hand painted details!

Some more hand painted details for you today but this time it was South America and on Rachel and Rob's wedding cake! The new Mr and Mrs Bagnall were married on the Saturday of the spring bank holiday weekend and had the most glorious tipi and festival style wedding. They were even planning on back packing across South America as their honeymoon so naturally all details were linked to that theme. Unfortunately the light wasn't the best for photos in the tipi but hopefully you can see just how awesome it turned out! Huge congratulations to the happy couple!

Royal themed treats fit for a royal occasion! These biscuits, cupcakes and macarons (48 of each) were made to celebrate a wee mans first ever birthday on Royal Wedding day back in May! I was told to keep the colours neutral but regal, so I played around with different golds and creams..they really did look stunning all together!

Upon arriving at our wedding venue, we were utterly gobsmacked when we saw our wedding cake. It was the most stunning piece of edible art we had ever seen. The level of detail, and research that had gone into the design was incredible. Let's not forget the taste either, each layer was different and full of flavour. Karen's hard work and beautiful craftsladyship really helped to make our wedding, a day to remember. We would recommend her wedding cake making skills to everyone. The wedding cake that karen made for us was beautiful. It tastes amazing and me and my husband absolutely loved it. We have quite abit left to hand out to people from our wedding on sunday but we just want to eat it all ourselves � x

The wedding cake Karen made for us was amazing it was so gorgeous and tastes amazing! I even loved that she accommodated the cake to fit our room, by making what usually goes into 3 tiers into 5 so it didn't look so small. Such a lovely woman and such a tasty cake!

The cake you made for my daughters christening was beautiful and everyone commented on how nice it was! You were so helpful in designing the cake and getting it just perfect!! I cannot wait to have more cakes from you as my daughter gets older!xxx

Our wedding cake was everything we wanted and more!!! The flavours were amazing and the cake moist. I would definitely recommend the raspberry and white chocolate, I can often be underwhelmed by white chocolate flavoured food, but this was absolutely perfect!



My other half wanted some gaming stuff on the back of the cake and it was absolutely brilliant!!!!

Karen made the most beautiful wedding cake for us which was also my combined birthday cake!

Karen designed a one of a kind cake for us which was as yummy as it looked, and at the end of the night was all gone! our guests loved the cake and we were blown away by the detail and design.

Karen was so professional from start to finish of the design process and the personal touches gave us the confidence we had chosen the right person to make our cake.

Karen made our wedding cake to fit our Halloween wedding and it was AMAZING! The hardest part of the whole process was trying to decide which flavour we'd like as after trying a selection of Karen's cupcakes we loved them all! She made a part of the cake without cake underneath so that we could keep it for after the wedding - it's now on display in our home as a reminder of the day. So many people commented on the cake, I would 100% recommend Karen to anyone! Thank you so much! X

Karen made our sons 1st Birthday Cake to fit with our Gruffalo themed party. She took our ideas and exceeded our expectations. I honestly didn't want to cut into the cake it looked so amazing, and I'm assured it tasted great too (I didn't get to taste any, as the guests ate it all.) Thank you Karen, I'm already planning next years theme for you.

Karen made a Christening cake for my son at the beginning of May, my brief for her was simple and I sent her pictures of cakes I liked. She cane up with an amazing design which we absolutely loved! It was tasteful, simple but stunning-just what we wanted. We had a chocolate tier, lemon tier and bake well tier. All we delicious. Karen was recommended to me and I can not recommend her enough. She is easy to communicate with, has fabulous ideas and her cakes are fantastic too. Thank you xx

Karen is one very talented lady. She recently made a christening cake for my godsons christening and it was absolutely fantastic! I wouldn’t think twice about recommending Karen to anyone, she was a pleasure to work with from start to finish and really did produce a beautiful cake. Thank you so much �

Karen did an incredible job on our 'naked' wedding cake. After using the tag line 'rustic chic' to try and sum up the theme of the day, Karen appeared to totally understand my vision (even if she thought I was slightly nuts) by designing an amazing four tiered cake decorated with fresh fruits, flowers and a hessian bunting topper. Karen even went one step further by recreating us sitting inside a model of our camper van made out of icing. Our cake was a gorgeous centrepiece and we can't wait to have more cake filled celebrations with Karen's assistance!

Karen designed our wedding cake and all I can saw is wow what an amazing cake she did us. The detail on the cake was fantastic it was everything we wanted, we had so many comments on how fantastic the cake was and how brilliant it looked. The cake tasted amazing and everyone single person enjoyed it . I think more photos was taken of the cake than us � once again thank you so much Karen x

Karen designed my daughter's birthday cake - I didn't give her the easiest brief as it needed to include Batman, Wonder Woman, Cinderella and Belle but Karen did an amazing job and everyone commented on how fantastic it looked, and tasted! I think we'll be buying our cakes from Vintage Cake Fairy for years to come - thank you!

I have had a few cakes from Karen, and each one was just perfect. The design and quality is exceptional and they taste amazing. The attention to detail and how this is executed is outstanding. If you need a cake for any occasion don’t look any further!

For my wedding I wanted a Harry Potter theme and when we met with Karen and showed and told her our ideas she drew a sketch of what we wanted and later sent me a detailed drawing of what she was going to create for us. The picture alone was amazing and we were so excited to see the finished cake. When we saw it we were speechless.... I don’t even know the best words to describe just how amazing it was. Karen is so so creative and it was such an honour to have her create our cake. We could not chosen anyone more perfect. All of our guests have told us that they will never ever forget the cake. Anyone reading this really needs to see the pictures of it... it was so realistic that some guests didn’t even know it was a cake.... truly amazing. Thank you so much vintage cake fairy xx

Another excellent cake from Karen once again, this time a 40th birthday cake for my husband. The design was so lovely and you can really tell the amount of time and effort that goes into it! That’s just the design alone, the cake tastes amazing also! The thing I’ve found with Karen is you really get what you pay for. You will find cheaper if that’s what you want but they won’t be anywhere near as good. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
