We are getting an increased number of people asking about the Epley Manoeuver for the treatment of Vertigo. Mark Wilcox performs it here at Wakefield Osteopaths. One of our patients has written to us expressing how it has helped her!
I started with terrible Vertigo about 10 months ago, I consulted my GP and with medication and movement exercises it was almost cured after 6 months but remained a problem when lying down in bed at night, turning my head to one side or simply ...looking down. I remained at that frustrating stage for a few months until I had a procedure performed by Mark Wilcox at Wakefield Osteopaths. I was already a patient there and they suggested trying the Epley Manoeuver which moved the particles in the ear canal and stops them causing the vertigo. I decided to give it a go! Mark performed a simple test first to check if it was likely to be particles causing the dizziness. The specific series of movements he carried out clearly worked because I am now medication free, I have no spinning or dizziness and feel normal again. Thank you Mark - Jill
